Cockpit cam - edit view left/right

In cockpit view the Commodore's steering wheel/column is a bit off to the left, so I'm trying to edit the cam file in order to have it lined up with the controllers wheel. However it seems that nothing changes no matter what i do.

I've been tweaking the file ...\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\race 07\GameData\Teams\Commodore\Commodore.cam. In the LocalCam=COCKPIT section i've tweaked the first value at PositionOffset=(0.000000, 0.0000, 0.0000), which i thought would move the view position left/right. I've been experimenting with "real seat positions" on and off, but nothing.

What am i missing here? Here's the original section untweaked:
