F1 2013 Car Damages in Time Trial or Time Attack?

I've set the damage to full but it seems not working under the above modes.

I've noticed that I can only, per se, smash off an entire front wheel and bearing when in Scenario mode in Classic. I can easily do that there, but never anywhere else. I've got damage set to just visual, though.
