Can I run trip 1440's ?

I'm having a build done with a 5600x and a gigabyte vision 3070. I have to decide on monitors and I'm going to use triple 32's for sim racing. I'm getting different answers but can I run trip 1440's at decent settings getting reasonable fps? Or do I need to stick to 1080?

Your definition of "decent settings" would have to be pretty loose and would depend greatly on the game, in ACC? No, you would likely have to lower settings significantly to make it acceptable. iRacing? Potentially, depending on your tolerance for stable frames and visual fidelity.

Triple 1440p is in the neighborhood of 11,000,000 pixels, 4k is roughly 8,000,000.

I have a 3080 and ACC with fully maxed settings sits at around 100fps in 4k and that's just driving around alone in practice mode.

I have triple 1440p's on a 2080Super and it runs AC around 90FPS on pretty much max everything and a field of 25-30 cars. ACC I get around 60FPS with settings lowered quite a bit (but still acceptable). I'd assume a 3070 is slightly better than a 2080S (aren't they a 2080ti equivalent?)

I have a 5600X with a 3080i and run triple 1440s. I turn some settings down in most games actually and have a bit more powerful GPU, but I would still recommend 1440 for your over 1080. Some people will say 32 is too big for 1080 up close like we use them. However, I personally still think they still look great at 32" and I don't see individual pixels on a 32" 1080 like some people say they can. The bigger thing is that you can always run them at 1080 for ACC if you want to but then use them in 1440 for other games if you do go with 1440 monitors. It gives you flexibility in the future if you do ever upgrade from the 3070. I say just bite the bullet now and pay the little bit extra they cost but then don't worry about them for a while. If you buy 1080 now, you will probably immediately start wondering how good things would look at 1440.

Thanks, I'm leaning 1440

Get 3 identical G-Sync or G-Sync Compatible monitors. If your frame rate dips a lot (and it will), this monitor technology can still allow the game to still be playable.

Nvidia doesn't officially support Variable Refresh Rate for multiple non-G-Sync Compatible monitors. Some users report it does work but it seems to be on a model by model basis, so it's buyer beware.

Avoid this risk by just getting identical G-Sync Compatible monitors for your RTX 3070.
