Blocky (rectangular) tire smoke in v088

I am aware that this issue has been mentioned before on the forum affecting only certain cars, but I couldn't find the way to fix it. A recent car that really has problems on my setup is 2011 GMC Sierra, tire smoke is quite square on it. Would anybody know how to deal with this issue, thanks..

I've noticed it before in v088, one solution would be to just turn the smoke off completely (for me it was either no smoke, or blocky smoke it seemed like)

the smoke changed in v089, quite different.
