Basic simulator for demo pod

I am working on a project at work whereas i need to create an arcade like simulator to demonstrate products that my company manufactures (car switchgear mainly) and i need some basic simulator software creating to use in this simulator pod. It only needs to be very basic so just needs to be able to drive forwards and reverse and be able to steer left and right. The terrain or track also only needs to be pretty basic. Im not big on this sort of thing so is this something i could do easily myself or something that someone would be willing to do for me?

Also, the reason for the demo pod is simply to be used at a skills fair to show young people that are looking for apprenticeships what we do as a company, its not for any other use.

how many times are you planning on using it? if its just for a 1-5 time showing you could probably do a trial version of rfactor and its compatable with almost any sim equipment out there right now
