General Assetto Corsa Spectator Mode - for team endurance racing

Hi guys,

I have a query which I would like to put forward to the community.

Are there any developers in here who would be interested in collectively working on a Spectator Mode for AC which doesn't destroy servers. I explain further... say for example we are racing in a 24 hour race (which we now know is possible to do successfully and with driver swaps). If we want to run a grid of 40 cars and allocate each team a spectator slot, an additional 40 slots would need to be allocated... correct? Plus a broadcaster slot for the event organisers. This would of course be a bit of a struggle for most servers, no? 81 slots...

Do we think it would be possible to find a workaround for the spectator/broadcaster slots so that these are not "counted" as car slots?

I am more than happy to setup a Patreon to support this development work and would be the first to put my hands in my pockets (and continue to do so).
