Assetto Corsa: Premium Driver Academy car unveiled

Although the start date for the Assetto Corsa Premium Driver Academy isn't set yet RaceDepartment asked me to go into the paint booth and make a livery for these driving school events for premium members.

First car up is the BMW M3 E30 DTM but there will be different kind of cars (open wheeler and GT's) available at a later time.

Without further delay I proudly present the first official RaceDepartment styled car. Hope you like it.

Looks good! I would recommend doing several versions with diffrent base (blue part) colors. The L should be moved to another part of the car, they still need numbers. Most organizations allow "Lerner permits" in races so "L"s tend to be temporary but clearly prominent like numbers, but never instead of them.

And then you can do multi class racing but instead of car classes it can be driver levels.

Also, the tower needs the number to identify each car for timing and scoring etc. (even in practices) we all know those tower folks are color blind and half asleep half the time...

Gentlemen,

In order to facilitate to some more obscure time zones a new AC Academy is up on US/CAN East time ie. GMT -5:00. Do have a gander and see if this fits your schedule. http://www.racedepartment.com/threa...-time-zones-saturday-february-27-2016.117783/

I'll be running it, there could be guest appearances for added help.

P.S. For those not in need of the simple (but very useful) basics, Intermediate/Advanced Academy is being considered. Please indicate here if you'd be interested.

You would however be amazed at what a back-to-basics refresher on the fundamentals will do to your ability to analyze your driving and make improvements or polish out any bad habits you might have picked up. @Bram took almost a second off my times as I applied my lessons to GT3's and other cars. In slower cars the difference was even more significant.

There are things you go blind to over time. A second pair of trained eyes with access to your data can do wonders.

That being said: @Cristian Haba consider this my formal interest in an intermediate and advanced academy!
