AMD FSR on ultrawide

How AMD FidelityFX super resolution is gonna work on 1080p ultrawide screens? My resolution is 2560x1080 and with FSR on ultra quality I don't see any progress in fps, even if I set 3440x1440 fps is around 55fps on start and average 65-75fps during the race- same as deafult resolution. Everything on almost EPIC settings
GPU is 5600xt, monitor 29" LG 2560x1080 75 Hz
I am satisfied, but it confuses me!
