This car is all about that weight, all about that weight transfer. It's pretty clear it ain't no AWD, but it can oversteer, like a RWD car do, it's got the rear torque that all the boys chase, it goes all the wrong ways through all the right lines.

You see those aero cars, working that rear downforce, you know that makes it easy, come on now make it stop, if you've got a lead right foot, just go and put it down, every line of that drift will be perfect to line up the drive out.

Skip Barber once told me don't worry about your drifts, 'cause the lap times like a tidy line on the way out. Don't be a teenager trying to drift, if that's what you're into just go ahead and line up last on the grid. It's all about that weight, all about that weight transfer, no drifting. All about that weight transfer, no drifting.

Bring back tidy lines, tell all the Formula Drift fans that. You think that line is fast but hitting every apex is the trick to the perfect lap.

I am not sure I can race - if I can I will come along (knee injury from hell) :-(

Is it possible to look at a different "Old School" type car to re-kindle some interest here?
Could I suggest the Escort 1600RS, it's an awesome little car that would make for some great door to door racing, a few of us have been getting together after the RD events, and the escort has been a firm favorite and heaps of fun.
After the Porsche race on Saturday, we started as 4 with an open server and ended up with 12 drivers and the racing was clean and very close indeed

Personally I think the Escort would be a better draw card than the Alfa, this is just a suggestion though, but one that I hope will be considered.

Yes Andrew, those races were good fun ;-) THAT screaming Cosworth engine ;-)
I would miss the Alfa Romeo though (my first car was a Ford but one of my later ones was an Alfa Romeo and ever since there is some Alfa Romeo blood flowing here).
I just can't wait for the new Giulia to become available in AC.

How about mixed field Alfa Romeo GTA + Ford Escort RS1600, BOP'ed any advantage by ballast?

Hmm that would be an interesting combo for sure, don't know if many would run the alfa seeing as there is a screaming Cosworth engine to enjoy, but I'm a ford man so I'm a little biased

I'm actually stepping down as race host due to personal reasons and it being my busy time at work which leaves me unable to fulfill my duties. Hopefully someone else will be stepping up to keep the races going and they can look at running the Escort instead since it may be a more popular car.

I'll still be racing if the races are still happening, just don't have the time/energy to do all the behind the scenes stuff anymore. Tomorrow is scheduled to be my last event.

Well said Andrew and Ditto. Brandon was very instrumental in me becoming a premium member and racing. He deserves so much credit for the way he has handled everything. I always love seeing his posts in our threads. Very humorous and encouraging at the same time and always very prompt at keeping the lists updated.
What would a race be if we lost his royal "Wideness" anyway? I, for one, would be very disappointed, but he's not going anywhere and will continue to race with us or I'll drive the 5.5hrs to Indy and drag his butt on the track
