A question regarding controllers

I realize that i'm a bit late for the party, but i just recently picked up this nice oldie. I have a question regarding controllers if you don't mind.

It seems that the game is capable of handling "only" 4 controllers at the same time, so is there a config file (or another way) where i can say like 'ignore these controllers forever' and just use the ones i specify? I've searched high and low to no avail...

Feels a bit lame to always unplug a few controllers to get my CSW detected, just to forget to plug everything back in and spend a good amount of time wondering what's going when you return to another title a few days later - you know the drill

You can try devreorder. It overrides the order in which devices are enumerated. It will effectively keep the devices listed the same way even if devices are "moved" around internally, after updating drivers, shifting USB slot, etc.

Yes. Devreorder works great on all the old 32-bit ISI based sims. Used in conjunction with JoyToKey, you can use button boxes and such low on the list to still trigger keystrokes and keep your analog/axis controllers at the top of the list.
