You're done. :)

You can proceed the same way for my other mods you found on step 4.
BASE MOD INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS (WINDOWS)
  1. Download PART1 and PART2 on your computer. Both parts are necessary.
  2. Right-click MM 2016 Mod 1.x.x.part1.rar and uncompress it.
  3. Part 2 will be uncompressed automatically. You should now have a folder MM_Data with the installer right next to it.
  4. Launch the installer and follow instructions.
If the installer does not work for you, simply copy/paste the MM_Data folder into your Motorsport Manager folder.
BASE MOD INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS (MAC) - Thanks to Mr Peugeot and Alon2o
    • Download PART1 and PART2. Both parts are necessary.
    • Create a folder anywhere and put both mod files in this new folder
    • Open Part_1 of the .rar file with an extractor (I use The Unarchiver but I’m assuming any upzip program will work)
    • Don’t worry about Part_2. The extractor will have included that without you seeing it.
    • You will get a folder called MM_Data.
    • Open finder
    • Command + Shift + G
    • Library / Application Support
    • Click on go
    • Steam
    • /Steamapp
    • /Common
    • /Motorsport Manager
    • Right click
    • View the contents of the package
    • Home
    • Resources
    • Data
    • Replace the resource.assets file with the one in the MM_Data you obtain in step 5.
    • Open StreamingAssets folder
    • (Download and in data)
    • Then replace only the Champ1.bk2 files
    • Champ2.bk2
    • Champ3.bk2
    • And replace the TeamIntroMovies folder

FAQ:
- After I installed the mod, the drivers, teams and staff are fake and all logos are original ones.
You didn't activate the mod "layer" on the Workshop. Please do so as stated above.
- My game crashes during or after launch / I get a black screen then nothing.
Make sure you run the last version of the game on steam.
Go to Steam then right click on Motorsport Manager>Properties>Local Files>Verify integrity of game cache. This will synchronize your game to server version which is always the last version available.

- I don't see the car liveries. Rest is working fine.
Liveries do not work in 2d Mode. Turn on 3d mode.
- How can I change logos/team names/... myself?
Download Unity Assets Bundle Extractor and open resources.assets with it. Extract textures or textassets with the "plugin" button on the left. Modify things and import file back using the same "plugin" button.
Logos are in logos1@1080. Practice and Quali Times are in simulationsettings.

Hi, one more thing I haven't seen mentioned but guessing the answer is no;

Are driver histories editable? It's not as big a part of this game for me as it is in Football Manager, but would be a cool bonus having correct driver stats for previous years etc.

I am assuming ofcourse that it is not but thought i'd check :p

Thanks man.

It is absolutely editable in the Drivers.txt of the assets, but it won't really fit with the game. Lewis Hamilton would have 19 wins in 2015, but the game only has a 15 race calendar. Because of that, I don't even know if the game will register their win count or appearance count.

Edit: On second thought, you might only be able to change their total wins and appearances etc. in the file. I'm not near my computer to check at the moment.

Drivers histories are editable in terms of numbers but not teams. So previous teams are given randomly to drivers.
You'll see things like Hamilton to Haas and Ferrari in his career. That looks stupid.
So I didn't bother editing that part to much. I just checked that the drivers had the correct number of championships won.

I think there is a problem with the rar files for Mac. Once unrared i don't get a folder but instead only the resource assets file. So i don't get the Champ1.bk2, Champ2.bk2, Champ3.bk2 files.

I saw that an other user had the same problem before but it wasn't solved.

Can someone solve the problem?
Thanks!!

Hey Enzoli, I know it's hard work to create those liveries, but why ist there no scuderia ferrari logo behind the airbox?
Unfortunately liveries are made of 2 images projected on a 3d model. One on the top, one on the side. So any graphic you put on the side image will look reverted on the other side. That is not a problem for plain shapes but any writing or logo will look reverted on one side.
Another problem is that there can be only 3 colors on these 2 images. There's already black red and white so no more room for green and yellow in this case. I actually cheat sometimes to use a 4th color wich is the wings color but it doesn't look good in race and that still is only 1 color while we would need 2 more for ferrari logo. If only the cars design would be more elaborated then it'd be a joy to mod.

Th videos are not included on the base part no more. They are available separetely on steam.

Hi everybody, and thank you very much, Enzoli, for this great work.
And excuse a maybe stupid question, but it is possible to add more engines at the "Part Suppliers" txt. file? Or would the game crash, if I add 1 or 2 more engines and start a new career?

Thanks and have fun mates :)

Have you already figured out whether your mod is compatible with beta 1.31? :geek: @enzoli
Not yet. Spent the last days formatting my computer. Had to reinstall all my programs. I'm currently working on drivers line-up.
I'm annoy we still don't know the FIA F3 teams complete line-up yet.

No idea about that but I think you would encounter a major problem about logo. There's no way yet to assign new position on the logo atlas and suppliers only show up with their logo in game. So even if you call it the right way, you'll have a blank field in the game.

Guys, I'm considering modding slightly the GT part to improve realism without throwing to much effort on it atm. What series should be modded to replace vanilla GT teams?
Is Blancpain the right one? Wich serie? Endurance? Sprint?
My main condition would be that part of the drivers driving in GT would have to be able to get a spot in SingleSeater so I want a Serie with many good young talents.

Hey Enzoli,

Many thanks for all the hard work you have put in to this game. As a big fan of GT and endurance racing, I would love to be able to help you with a list of drivers for the 2 gt series. There could be a few different options (not sure if any have been mentioned earlier) to follow some real series with a good number of drivers that could be potential single seater drivers.

GT1: FIA WEC (any mixture of LMP1, LMP2 and GT teams) - which covered a lot of ex f1 drivers like Buemi, Stevens, Merhi last season as well as many young pros with single seater back ground
GT2: Blancpain GT (making sure to avoid any amateur drivers) - this seasons entrylists came out today (Soucek, Bortolotti and Juncadella, etc are all ex-single seaters)

There is also the possibility of using Formula E as the top class as almost all of those drivers are possibles for switching over. I would be happy to put a proper list together if that would help?

There's an awesome mod on the workshop which makes individual models for gt3 teams, so you could just mod the series to match his models.

Thanks for your help. Indeed I'm very interested in your knowledge as I know nothing about GT. I'm struggling to see where to go and I'm scared of losing lot of time for little results that people might not like.

I looked at Workshop and there's a guy who masters the 3d job for sure. Looks splendid but did he make real teams? I don't see how I could make my mod work along with his models...

Well he has assigned each team their own model I believe. Just match the model to the real life team (I assume if he's got the gt3 cars there's a direct correlation). Without his models, it would just be the standard vanilla model, but with his models, they'll overwrite the vanilla by team number :)
