Small HotFix Released for Assetto Corsa Competizione on Steam

ACC April 2022 HotFix.jpg
A small hotfix has been released for Assetto Corsa Competizione on Steam that adds liveries and addresses some minor bugs.

Kunos Simulazioni has been somewhat quiet following the release of the Challengers Pack DLC for Assetto Corsa Competizione, but the developer is still hard at work behind the scenes and has shared a small update for ACC.

The update is a comparatively small one, but does bring some interesting new liveries to the sim. Also, players who have been using direct bindings for ECU maps (as opposed to +/- ECU changes) should see improvements to the user experience.

Kunos' next major update for ACC on PC is expected to have an American theme. Only a few "blink and you miss it" teasers have been released so far regarding this content, and no release date has yet been shared.

Let us know your thoughts on ACC in its current state, or what you hope to see updated in the sim moving forward.

Changelog v1.8.14
  • Added liveries for partner esport activities.
  • Added bonus GTWCHEU 2022 liveries.
  • Fixed a display issue of out-of-range engine map stage when using direct bindings. NOTE: the error only affected the display value on the HUD/dash.
  • Fixed shifted UI labels for engine map direct input settings. NOTE: does NOT require remapping existing input bindings.

The 2022 GTWC Europe Endurance cup liveries have been added in 2021 season and open series.
They include liveries for:
PRO cup cars
SILVER cup Cars
PRO-AM cup cars
For both existing and new teams - though I believe some specific liveries may be missing...

GOLD cup cars and teams were not added (probably because they don't exist in the game?) - maybe that will be added when the official 2022 campaign is added. Also sprint cup liveries were not added (the season doesn't start until this weekend) I believe.

Good update, l like the 2022 liveries.
You can check for example in single player => Open Series => Audi R8 LMS evo II => Tresor by Car Collection.
It is a new team for 2022 season and liveries for pro and silver cup car were added.

Contrarily
For Single Player => open Series => Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo => Barwell Motorsport: here no new liveries were added because they only compete in Gold cup (#77, #78) in endurance and Pro-Am in Sprint series. So no new liveries there.

Yep, kicks off at Brands Hatch this weekend.

Did they add the BMW Junior Team #50 car? Dark blue MultiBank Group design I think it was. Still not at home for a few days and I’m working on this livery (along with the DTM liveries) for the M4 in rF2 for quite a while. Would be handy as a reference to have it in game.

(I’m probably going to make the DTMs available for ACC too)

Yes this desing was added under the ROWE Racing Team (as they are officially registered in GTWCEU) with drivers Harper, Hesse and Verhagen.

Couldn't agree more.

But you can never have enough quality tracks in a racing sim.

If ACC has one flaw is that there is more potential for better circuits.
Of course what makes a great circuit is down to personal preference. Also the circuit package of course is down to licensing as well:
SRO licenses like British GT and GTWC Europe allowed for tracks like Snetterton, Zandvoort, Paul Ricard to be included: tracks I generally don't race and personally would swap out for circuits with a more legendary history in terms of GT Racing

Don't get me wrong: with Spa, Suzuka, Bathurst, Laguna Seca, Imola and the likes some of the best circuits in the world are already included. But Personally I'm missing some American and Asian legendary GT Racing tracks that would give the title a more international feel (I know it is licensed as GTWC Europe - but IGTC is there too).

In my ideal title I would like to race all of the legendary GT tracks like Sebring, Fuji, Daytona, Watkins Glen, Road America, Road Atlanta or even Dubai Autodrome (and yes Nordschleife too).

Grts

The issue is how reluctant kunos in making content. There are very little cars the game can take so if they go nuts with the tracks since SRO covers such a large amount of tracks in its regional championships. I would be happier with this game.

Honestly, I have been waiting for years for full US and Asia tracks. I have given up waiting as even some EU tracks they still lack till now. Or the missing mustang and Supra gt4.

It feels like getting kunos to make content is like squeezing blood from stone.

what did you expect? cruising on the hills and f1 cars?
Ohh that would be great. :)
Then I would probably start my installed ACC up once in a while.
Instead of letting it lay down as a dead duck on my HD
- because after some laps I consider GT3 cars so boooring:rolleyes:

Kunos' next major update for ACC on PC is expected to have an American theme.s
This is as good as confirmation that american track pack is about to come out in the summer(Kunos themselves said before that next major update will come out in summer)

This is pretty exciting

I can't believe that people are still jabbering about the lack of tracks/cars in ACC. The game was created based on a race series that had only certain car types and certain tracks. That car series folded and a new series took it's place to represent the same cars and same tracks. That series is now in negotiations to include tracks in other countries, but the cars are basically the same.

None of this is free. You want to put my car in your game. PAY ME. You want my livery. PAY ME.

As much as I try to not be judgemental the constant " Not enough tracks, not enough cars, no VR, bad AI, no career mode, not enough online races at the times I can do them, not a real sim, not realistic, not laser scanned" noise, has led me to believe people who drive fake cars,. on fake tracks, using equipment that costs enough to fund a homeless shelter for a year, are those whose ignorance is only exceeded by mine for even reading the comments on this website.

Ok, but on PC alone ACC has sold like 500k+ copies (https://steamdb.info/app/805550/graphs/), plus the user base is quite good, so if you make a new DLC you will definitely find many people willing to pay for it. What I mean is that Kunos aren't lacking in terms of income, so I am a bit disappointed that instead of investing it into the full America series and Asia series tracks they just promised some US tracks later this year. Esports is not going away, it is growing. ACC is a successful platform, probably the most important one after iRacing and now with a solid experience in endurance racing. Why aren't they investing more in it? My take is that they put their money on AC 2 hoping to use the technology developed for ACC (physics, netcode) in their new title. Still, AC 2 is not an esports title, so the risk is diluting the esport experience into something like AMS 2, neither flesh nor fish.

Unless of course they got the license for the 24h of Nurburgring and we are going to see an esports title on the Nordschleife, which would be awesome. We can only hope.

I'm excited for the upcoming US content. All I would like in addition to this is the missing circuits from the recent GT Challenge series, namely Magny-Cours, Valencia and Hockenheim. Maybe we will get at least one of these but I'm not optimistic.

Regarding ACC itself - I'm more than happy with the GT3/4 focus of the sim. I like games that replicate one or a few series, and do it well. I prefer this to the 'a little bit of everything' approach as in AC, pCars etc...

very nice skins added. in years past they added another big bunch after the spa 24h, so maybe August? that might coincide with the rumored American update. Now that travel restrictions are no longer an issue, I think it's realistic to also hope for the odd gap in the European calendar being filled, e.g. Magny Cours, revamped Zandvoort, new turn10 at Barcelona.
So far - so good. Skipped the last DLC, if the next one contains tracks - insta buy :)

Honestly no - I'm totally and utterly Nurb-ed out.
Same, i do like to drive the Ring in real life during TF but in video games it actually never really appealed to me for racing. For that i do prefer the older racertracks, not these Tilke abominations.

Looking back i could've skipped the last DLC too, i bought it mainly for the 992 Cup car but compared to iRacings version i hate it. So i still end up driving the GT3s or GT4s...
But yeah, the track pack in summer i really look forward to. If it will have Sebring i can die a happy man.

I love ACC the way it is, in terms of the number and types of cars.
I'd rather the limited work staff at KS model what they have realistically, rather than having hundreds of models and making massive compromises.
There is now....and never has been any difficulty launching it and quickly joining practice sessions or races online.
That cannot be said for the vast majority of racing title except for IRacing, where online racing is primarily the focus.
No mismatches, no additional downloads, no failures....it just works.
As to the handling....
They feel like real cars where input versus response is concerned.
You can drive them right out of the pit-lane and they don't do anything stupid or weird in the name of tire warming. They also require minimal tweaking right out of the box.
The only niggle I see at the moment is VR. It should have a bit more ease of setup.
That's not to say it is horrible because once you know how to get it done, it looks and runs quite well.
If guys want a multitude of cars and tracks, there is AC and RF2 available for purchase.
If I want to run a car/track combination not available in ACC, I fire up one of those.
ACC was licensed for a series.
They cannot simply deviate from that to please everybody by promoting a multitude of cars and tracks.

Honestly no - I'm totally and utterly Nurb-ed out. If I really want to thrash round the Nords then I've got AC, PC2, GT Sport, AMS2, R3E, rF2 (have I missed any?) to do that.

I find ACC quite refreshing in it's singular approach to a particular racing series.

I'm that new to Sim racing I haven't raced the ai, let alone a real live person. I'm leaning tracks and although I've bought almost all the PC Sims. My go to game is ACC. I find it so addictive. I just love everything about it. I also have it on PS5 without the DLC.
