7. How closely is REG Simulations with the real series PISTA Motorsport is going to portray?

With the plan of showcasing the Argentine racing scene globally via PISTA Motorsport, REG Simulations are closely cooperating with teams and series. "We have their full support", Gaglio confirms happily. "We receive car scans, GPS data, telemetry and even have real drivers test the cars to help us making them as close to reality as possible. The support of the racing categories in development is crucial as it allows us to faithfully replicate the cars."

8. How are REG planning to get more of the community involved in beta testing?

REG is planning to gradually open up the beta program, with each beta version involving more people. Gaglio is happy with the way this has worked so far: "The results have been very satisfactory, allowing us to progress and expand the audience for our beta."

9. Are mods going to be possible for PISTA Motorsport?

With the background the REG team has in modding, it should come as no surprise it will be possible to implement mods into PISTA Motorsport. Gaglio views them as "essential in a race car simulator, and we believe they are more than necessary. That's why we want to integrate a modding system where, with our approval and quality control, users can add content to the game backed by us."

This should ensure that mods that are available meet certain standards and weed out low-quality ones - for now, it is not a priority to the dev team, as the focus is on "building a solid foundation so that all content created from it will be of high quality", according to Gaglio.

10. Is VR integration planned?

While not present in PISTA Motorsport yet, REG Simulations is fully planning on integrating VR support into their upcoming title. Gaglio underscores: "VR is essential for simulation, and we will definitely implement it."

11. How is PISTA Motorsport going to get the attention and interest of sim racers that have never heard of the racing series in Argentina?

Simply put: by being different. Much like Automobilista 1 and 2 have done for the Brazilian scene, PISTA will highlight something out of the ordinary. "We believe that Latin American motorsports are highly diverse, which is why we invite people from around the world to experience it through this development", states Gaglio. "We are convinced thatt here is an immense value in the variety and quality of local motorsports, and we plan to have content for all audiences, from karts to open-wheel formulas and powerful touring cars.

12. Is PISTA Motorsport going to dive into the rich history of Argentine racing as well?

The upcoming sim is not just going to focus on current-day series - Argentina is home to the oldest continuously-running motorsport competition in Turismo Carretera, after all. As a result, it is no surprise that Gaglio states that PISTA has "great potential for vintage content. Considering this and the richhistory of Argentine motorsports, it is clear that one of our major goals is to bring that vintage content to the track in our simulator."
