Modding Support Could Be Coming to Art of Rally

Art of Rally Mods 01.jpg
The always fun racing title Art of Rally is moving to its next phase of development, and exploring the possibility of mods.

Art of Rally has grown into a fun, unique and well-loved racing title thanks to the efforts of game developer Funselektor. Building off the success to date, the team recently posted a message on social media alluding to upcoming priorities, including mod support.

Art of Rally on PC currently supports livery modding, of which you can find a massive selection here at RaceDepartment in the Art of Rally downloads section, but the rest of the content is fixed. However, Funselektor is now putting out feelers for mod creators who can help build a mod community around AoR. Those interested in supporting this effort can fill out Funselektor’s mod team signup form.

The head of Funselektor, Dune, also introduced us to his full-time development team by name, and shared information about their respective roles. The team now enjoys a 4-day workweek, and will continue to support the growth of the title in coming years. The team will also be working with (and on) a Unity architecture called FunCore, which should improve game stability and performance in the future.

Lastly, an update is coming for players on the Switch platform, which should help optimize the visuals.

Not yet having this, but if this is the deal. I will get this to my library. I would like to see technical sprint rally kind of stages in this, and many of them. Of course huge selection of cars also. And Rallye's like Monte Carlo and British rally.

I really like the idea and even bought the game... But it is the only piece of software that literally restarts my pc in the momment I try to run it... Maybe I'll give it another try..

They should rather work on the gameplay itself. It feels like you're driving on ice even when you're on tarmac. And let's not talk about when you hit an object, even just with the side of your car, result: completely stuck. Beautiful game but pity for the playability, very frustrating. Only with a few cars it becomes enjoyable. They should learn from Circuit Superstars...

I just commented here that i dont have this, but then i saw sale on Steam just today, and there it is in my collection. This is must to have at least for oldschool gamers who started with controller and enjoy to play with controller and want to rally. Just like games was meant to be played back in the days. Just so joyfull the challenge it offers mixed with simplyness. Just start the game and have a go! There is also some mishaps, though i could run this with highest but did have to drop down some setups, not to have stutter ( still looks great ) And when i try to quit the game, it let hanging, so ctrl alt del it was. But having a big joy while driving, what there isnt much with sims etc, everything there is so serious.. And yes, have tried only couple cars and tracks, but really waiting how many tracks and cars the modding is going to bring. This could be like mini version of RBR lol. But thumb's up the modding comes and content is going to be great and there is plenty of it. I just wanted the old joy back, and i think i have found it, at least quite a lot of it. Cheers! Edit: Forget to mention that i miss some damage in this, there should be some bumbers hanging and scratches and dents at least feom touches etc. Would fit also that when you rev hard there could be heating cauge, try to keep it close to the "hot end" without oops! And kaboom. Same on the brakes, try to keep them getting too hot or out of brakes.

circuit superstars are cool, but the car slide all bit too much ( I suppose that was part of their design decision ) I definitely prefer how cars drive in Art of Rallye
