The official Lamborghini esports series will be hosting its European Regional Final this weekend. Tune in to both races to find out who will be taking the crown onsite at the Nürburgring.

Four qualification races with the best four drivers from each race progressing, four drivers qualifying onsite and an additional three qualifying at Lamborghini dealers in the United Arab Emirates. That is how the field of drivers who will travel to the Nürburgring for this weekend’s GT World Challenge Endurance Cup event was determined.
They will be sharing the same arena with the SRO Esports GT and Sim Pro Series drivers. For the Lamborghini’s European esports final, who are the drivers worth keeping an eye on?
This is a name that may be known to those who follow F1 Esports, as Iemmulo raced for AlphaTauri in a solitary round of the 2021 season. He is now focused on Assetto Corsa Competizione racing, competing in the SRO Esports Sim Pro Series for VS Racing by Ballas eSport.
Iemmulo currently sits 13th in the standings as the second best placed Lamborghini behind works driver David Tonizza. Ahead of other works Lamborghini drivers Danilo Santoro and Luca Losio. Iemmulo may only have been second in his qualification race, but maybe the familiar LAN environment could bode well to him being European champion.
Amos Laurito
Here is another name that will be familiar to F1 Esports viewers, but also to OverTake Dream Team Series viewers. The former Ferrari driver may not have had much success in F1 Esports, but Laurito was part of the team that won the GT World Challenge Esports Endurance Cup Spa 24 hours with Tonizza and Giovanni de Salvo.
With a place in the Lamborghini esports team on the line, Laurito could be following in the footsteps of Tonizza and fellow former Ferrari turned Lamborghini driver Gianfranco Giglioli. Finishing second in his qualifier, may be an outsider but still worth keeping tabs on.
Florian Dührkop
The driver who Laurito finished second to completely dominated the qualifier, Unicorns of Love racer Florian Dührkop could be one of the favourites. The German qualified in ninth and won by over 14 seconds, so that would certainly point to him having the pace.
When it comes to past achievements, Dührkop has been rather unassuming. Perhaps the most competitive series he got a top result in was finishing one point shy of last year’s The Real Race EU runner-up Luke Whitehead in the RennWelten Race of Champagneros. Could winning LTRR European Regional Final be Dührkop’s crowning achievement?
Michael Romagnoli
Lamborghini’s Europe Regional Final isn’t the first time this name has been mentioned in an Italian automotive brand’s esports event. Michael Romagnoli was the favourite to win a seat with Ferrari when he won their EU Regional title, but lost out to Jonathan Riley during the onsite evaluations.
Romagnoli now has another go at impressing an Italian sports car marque in-person. He was third in his qualifying race, but who knows how well he will do onsite? With a place in Lamborghini’s esports team on the line, he’ll be hoping second time is the charm.
Maciej Malinowski
Last but not least, the only driver on this list who didn’t compete in the qualifying races. Veloce driver Maciej Malinowski has been dedicated to say the least! Attending the Paul Ricard and Spa GT World Challenge events to enter into onsite qualifiers for SRO Sim Pro and also Lamborghini The Real Race!
Currently sitting 15th in the SRO Sim Pro standings after not qualifying for the first round, the Fanatec Arena has become almost a second home to the Pole. He was also victorious in the online GT World Challenge Europe Esports round at Paul Ricard too. He is most certainly a sleeper pick, since we haven’t seen him in the qualifying races but Malinowski could surprise us all.
