KartKraft Releases Christmas Update

KartKraft Christmas 2021 Update 01.jpg
Karting simulator KartKraft has received a significant update before Christmas, bringing online racing and a new track.

Just in time for Christmas, KartKraft has given its players a gift. This dedicated karting sim has been in development for many years, and the most recent update allows players access to a beta of the online racing system for the first time.

In addition to the new online mode, which is currently limited to the KA100 model only, players will also receive a new track with the latest update. Northamptonshire's Whilton Mill facility has now joined the title.

Perhaps the most surprising news is that this appears to be the end of the Early Access phase of KartKraft. The promotion for this update noted that this will be the "last chance before full price."

This update should be available the next time you start up KartKraft. Be sure to let us know your thoughts on the online racing or Whilton Mill in the comments below.

Really happy with the Whilton Mill track. Happy as well for the beta MP even if I usually only play shifters. Looking forward for the real multiplayer.

Surprisingly this is a game i bought, installed on my gaming PC and i keep updated through Steam, but i never actually played it :roflmao:

But...... i will some day. It's supposed to be good, but somehow one of others sims always wins my precious time.

I'm afraid I have already given up on this game. The whole affair has taken too long, with decidedly underwhelming content.
A real disappointment, I was very excited for this game. But we all have a limit.
I'm not motivated to even install and test. Shame.

Not to long ago Niels Heusinkveld reviewed current Karting sims and KartKraft was his favorite. He was quite negative about KartSim and the result was that the company behind KartSim threatened him with legal action… Crazy! I rarely play it, but yesterday I did a race on Genk… great fun!

As far as I am concerned, in VR, no other sim is even close to what for me is the closest to driving a Kart. Judging by the abysmal amount of people actually playing this SIM, I am probably the only one thinking it is that good, or most people are not into Kart simulation, or both.
All that said, in comparison to my most played SIMS, I have a minimal amount of time actually playing it. Spent more time updating it than actually playing.
Still I am glad they are still developing it and wishes them more success in 2022.

Is it me or the online beta is just a practice session and ghost cars? The game looks great, my experience with karts in real life is very limited, the game is fun tho. I’ll give it a go if they develope the online racing much more

It's definitely the pick of the bunch in the Kart Dept. But where it really shines with me is how good the VR experience is with my old out of date PC. Seems to be well optimised straight out of the box.

Unfortunately though, i have spent more time updating than playing it like others have mentioned

That's the sim racing world for you :)
When you expose how broken and unifinished every single racing game is, your posts are deleted by moderation, you get threats by fanboys and develoers, and it can even get you fired from writing for a sim racing website! ;-)
