I am a fan of one of the smallest niches in gaming. Motorsport management simulations are what I want to play. If you read my former article on the matter, you'd already know that. But I hesitated with F1 Manager 2022. However, now I've got it and I won't let go of it anytime soon.
It has been quite some time since a game bound me to my seat like F1 Manager 2022 managed to just yesterday evening. And here's the worst thing:
I'm not even a fan of F1.
That's right. Welcome to my outing as someone who doesn't watch F1 amongst a group of racing fans. Please throw small stones only.
So that is the fact that got me to wait. Wait, until some sale would drop the price on Steam. And with a 20% discount, the 10th of October became the day I had hoped for for years.
I finally found my new favourite time waster.
And it came bundled with an experience I hadn't cared for at all.
A dangerous combination, I know. However, somehow the managerial aspect of F1 Manager 2022 just gets to me. It connects to me on a level I didn't anticipate, even though a new top motorsports management game had been on the top of my wishlist for years.
It had been on my wishlist for so long, I actually thought about making one such game myself!
So yeah, don't ask me for a review because it'd break the scales of RD's review system. You can't give 10 Stars when only 5 are available.
But enough about tooting F1 Manager 2022's horn. I'm here on a mission.
As you might be able to tell, I am not a developer of video games (yet) so am not aware of how much work actually goes into making this piece of entertainment software.
I am just a man with a dream. And that dream will (for now) be fulfilled by F1 Manager 2022.
What I am now interested in is your opinion on the motorsport management niche:

Calling on Video Game Developers: Jump on the Train!

- Is there a future in this niche?
- After F1 Manager, is there more to come?
- Would you like to see more motorsport management games on the market?
