Dakar Desert Rally: Vintage Content for Deluxe Edition

Dakar Desert Rally will be released on 4th October and we are already enjoying what title can offer. After Arabian landscapes, a new video shows some perks included in the Deluxe Edition:

Travel back in time in style to see two legendary Dakar vehicles from the 80s: the DAF Truck Turbo-Twin and Ari Vatanen's Peugeot 405 Turbo 16, both playable as day one in-game unlocks when you purchase the Deluxe Edition of Dakar Desert Rally.

More five DLC have been announced coming in the near future including a new map, more cars and two new events. Deluxe Edition will cost 59.99$/€59.99 while Standard will be 39.99$/€39.99 available both for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

All preorder purchases will receive Audi RSQ e-tron as a bonus vehicle.

I don't know if it's a good game but the video makes you want to play it and that's the main thing for a game, to be entertained.

On the other hand, the only problem is that the car at the beginning starts off with a bang, throwing a lot of sand on this poor NPC without a mask and a cowboy hat, what about his outfit and his poorly chosen location? lol

It says 1988 in the start of the video, so no mask at this time lol, also the guy's probably the starter

Cautiosly optimistic for this game. I had a great time with the first one, but good Lord, that AI, that wheel support...
It tooks them 2 or 3 months to get it right, kinda.
I really hope they got it sorted.
Also for that DLC, it's "meh". I'm more of a ZX guy (Pierre Lartigue FTW !)

The driving looks just as bad as the first game :(

This again will be some arcade game, what a shame. Not for this website.

A sim is... simulation reality. To different degrees. With the amount of navigating needed, and the length of stages, even with poor physics it's quite a lot of simulating.

Of course its not gonna be full sim. They actually want it to appeal to a big audience and sell. Not appeal to just a minority of players.

While it wasn't as "pure" as Richard Burns Rally. DiRT Rally kinda showed that making a proper, sim-oriented game can sell really good.

Hopefully the 405 won't be as utterly useless as the 205 was in Dakar 18.
From the preview gameplay I've seen, it seems like there will be something dedicated to classic cars. There will be more of them as unlockable I think.

As previously said, there will be apparently more classic cars in the game, just unnanounced for now, but in one of the gameplays, there appeared a ZX Rally Raid (with the yellow, "Camel" livery). Looking forward to all that

I was kidding :) Sure it can be here, I am just a bit upset, since it will be a complete arcade. I was really hoping for more.
"Complete arcade"

Then please define what Crash Team Racing is...

Super arcade?
Ultra arcade?
Hyper arcade?
Or some non-Pirelli tyre arcade?

:p

It's not coming to Nintendo Switch, well this proves this console is inferior to the PC, PS5 & Xbox Series X when it comes to racing games featuring photo-realistic graphics.

P.S As I know, Nintendo consoles is so much different compared to the PC, PS5 & Xbox Series X.

The game will not feature the long-term winners of the KAMAZ team?
