BTCC DLC Coming to rFactor 2

BTCC cars are the latest content to be confirmed for rFactor 2, joining Donington Park and Brands Hatch as DLC releases scheduled for next month.

rFactor 2's quarterly content drop due next month is shaping up nicely.

While the corporate world surrounding Studio 397 is in apparent shambles, the developer continues to impress with their upcoming content. British Touring Cars are joining the sim as DLC in the coming weeks.

This may not have been the news BTCC fans had ultimately been looking for as compared to the prospect of a full simulator dedicated to these touring cars, but it appears this will have to suffice for the time being.

The BTCC DLC will focus on two cars for the time being, the Infiniti Q50 and Toyota Corolla GR Sport. Each will have its respective 2021 BTCC liveries. Studio 397 plans to release a 2022 update with new cars and the latest liveries later this year.

The writing may have been on the wall for this DLC, as the two other pieces of content announced for the second quarterly release in rFactor 2 were British racing circuits. Donington Park and Brands Hatch have both been confirmed for the sim. This doesn't complete the BTCC calendar, but provides more locations in which to drive these cars.

I think it's pretty clear that you aren't the biggest fan of rF2 for one reason or another, wich is pefectly fine. What I don't understand is how people who don't like the product, the parent company, the developer, the games history, the steam store or Marcel Offermans grandma need to tell all the people who enjoy it how much they hate it.
Why is it that one can only love or hate rf2? Why is criticism of obvious flaws hating? Hands up. Who prefers the rf2 way of having to own all cars on a server to be able to drive one? Who prefers rf2 steam shop with barely minimal info about the sold items over... well any other game? Why is mentioning those things "hating"?

It isn't. It is valid criticism and I am not ashamed to admit that I do it because I want the devs feel the pressure and know that there are clear issues in the game. I want these issues fixed because I like driving rf2. But there are so many road blocks that shouldn't be there that just prevent me from enjoying rf2 or getting into it. Those issues make rf2 poor monetary investment and a hassle to deal with. It is a technical issue, it can be fixed, it is not easy to fix but imho worthwhile to do.

What's the point? Isn't there a point when you just move on and enjoy what suits you best? I mean, how much have you played the rF2 MP in the last couple of months to really preassure the point that it affects your mental health?
My mental health is fine. Thank you for asking and caring, I'd guess.

But the "go away if you don't like it" approach to all and any criticism will only lead rf2 to yet another development dead end. Issues need to be mentioned by people so devs can fix them. Issues get fixed based on how much need there is for it. Issues that don't get mentioned won't get fixed. It is called feedback and the way it works is very simple.

Anyway, this whole discusson about BTCC - yep, that was the topic - is long over. I don't care how much better ACC, AC, iRacing or what ever are. I care for the BTCC pack within rF2, becaus that's where I will husle the cars with their fantastic FFB around beautifully detailed tracks like Brands Hatch in dynamic conditions. And the best thing about this is that ACC, AC and iRacing or what ever can s*ck my balls because they don't offer the same thing. How about that?
This discussion is about the upcoming (assumed, not comfirmed I think) btcc dlc for rf2 and as such it is about both the dlc model of rf2 and the dlc that is being marketed. Because fo the dlc model in rf2 the dlc is not as desirable purchase as it could be. Saying that aloud doesn't mean there should be any balls s*cking comments directed to anyone.
