ACC, AC, AMS 1 & 2 all on sale over the Halloween weekend.

I'm guessing that I will be addressing a rather small slice of the RD audience with this one but just in case you haven't already picked up Assetto Corsa, Competizione, Automobilista 2 or AMS1, they are all on sale this weekend.

Assetto Corsa is in the Halloween steam sale this weekend with 80% off the base game and DLC. You can even pick up the ultimate edition (featuring all DLC) with 90% off. That makes AC a whopping £6.05 here in the UK. If you're just getting in to sim racing, this is the best 6 quid you will ever spend.

Assetto Corsa Competizione gets similar treatment in the halloween sale with 60% off the base game and up to 50% off the DLC packs. You can pick up the game and all the DLC for £41.20 here in the UK which is a hell of a lot of game for the money.

It's also been brought to our attention that after this article was published, Automobilista 2 is also on sale. You can save 50% on the base game and up to 75% off DLC. Automobilista 1 is also on sale with 50% off too, that's £9.99 here in the UK.

I picked up the UK pack (good to see the (RIP) Yay Tree at Snetterton still!

Despite GT cars not really being my thing, ACC is astonishingly good, and runs maxed out on my 2015 PC (okay, 2070 SUPER graphics card upgrade helped!).

In cloudy weather it looks easily as life-like as that viral Ride 4 rainy video recently.

rF1 is quite interesting if you want to drive the mod content in rF1 but like me don't know how to convert them to AMS. :roflmao:

I bet a lot of the youngsters now haven't played the old and gold rF1 mods.

True.
However, I do think there's simple converters that does this with just a click or three. I did that with some tracks some years ago :)

It doesn't seem to be that straightforward for everything, a car I'm trying to convert is missing some .tga files from materials so it loads in the showroom but not in-game. I'm not much of a 3D guy so it's not a 100% straightforward process for me like the physics port was.

Yes, this is cry for help disguised as a constructive post.

i have a question regarding rf2: if i buy one of the gt3 cars instead of the whole pack of 13 cars, can i race the rest of the available gt3 cars as AI even if i dont own them?

It can be converted easily using a software (which I can't remember the same of) somewhere on the internet, all that will be missing is the features AMS1 has

Yeah except it can't, not without some extra steps that I am not aware of. I've tried. If you can get it to work then I don't mind if you DM me the process.

The SimBin Mega Bundle is 50% off (CAD ~$20). It's how I got started and I think STILL a very good price when on sale like this. You get a lot and what you get is still being modded to this day.

AC ultimate edition is 80% off if you know it's always 50% off...

Bought AMS2 and all DLCs as recommended in another VR thread for 40€. in the current sale. It is a nice VR and FFB experience. The visuals of the outdated PC2 were decent, but not the physics. Can't believe they use the same engine in AMS2. Physics are a great improvement.
Ok, you have to tweak antialiasing and sharpness to reduce edges and shadow flickering in VR but after that you'll have lots of fun. Just give it a try if you want a good alternative to AC and ACC.

rFactor 1 was also on sale, but I missed it. :(

Hopefully there's another opportunity near Black Friday.
