Awesome track. This has been my most raced track ever, and I can't get enough of it. One problem though; this track is pretty hard to handle for my pc. I personally race at medium track detail settings, but this track for example has people on the stands on this setting. Something that on ks tracks would only happen on very high. Result is a fps about 20 lower than ks tracks. If it's possible, could you remove some details (people, texture on backside of guardrail hoofdtribune, etc)? Really appreciate your effort

I wasn't aware the people should only be present on higher world settings. I'll edit this for the next update.
There sure are a lot of them, for Assen having the longest continuous grandstand of Europe, I believe. For now, you can lower their numbers manually. The files are located in /ne_ttassen/.../data/camera_facing.ini ("..." being autosport/motorsport/etc.). Adjust the "ELEMENTS=..." to something lower or simply delete the whole file(s).

I am very close to finishing V0.8. This version features the new grand stands but not as accurate as I would like. Sadly due to covid I am unable to visit the track for reference photos.

yeah im only 5 years behind the times lol. Just discovered this (or rediscovered, can't make up my mind or not if I downloaded this years back or not, I certainly didn't put many miles on it) recently and its a great layout.
Since starting to mess with track modding myself i've found myself trying (and enjoying) other scratch made stuff even if its unfinished just to see how others go about making things.
Strictly speaking I wouldn't say this is a 5 star mod if you assume a final Lilski/Fat-Alfie style track is the benchmark, but when you take into account how long ago this was done, and the fact its so obviously WIP i have no issues rating it that much. Its clearly got the potential to be a top track mod once complete, and even incomplete its a lot of fun :)

Ah moi! Nice video :) Seeing that makes me realise how much better v0.8 is going to look. There's one slight issue I'd like to fix before I push it; expect it this week :)

A solid new addition to my favourite modern tracks in Assetto Corsa. A fast, flowing circuit, with corners of varying camber, I feel comfortable taking different kinds of cars here. I am not familiar with the real life circuit but this has the feel of quality.

You can reduce the number of spectators in the /data/camera_facing.ini . They are very heavy on some systems and there are a lot of them right now. If that doesn't help, send a PM or post in the Discussion thread so we can try and find out why it's so heavy.
