Skins to replicate the look of the cars entered by Peugeot Sport in the 1996, 1997 and 1998 seasons of the ADAC Super Tourenwagen Cup.

Making its debut during the 1996 season with 1994 French Supertourisme champion Laurent Aïello and touring car veteran Altfrid Heger as drivers, the 406 immediately showed some promise - and while it never was in serious contention for the series' gold, Aïello would score a win in the feature race at Assen, and absolutely dominate the race weekend at Zweibrücken, ending the year third in the standings.

1997 saw the car's competitiveness grow even further, with Aïello qualifying in pole position for 8 out of 10 races, and leaving only the scraps for his opposition at Hockenheim, Wunstorf, at the Salzburgring and in both rounds at the Nurburgring. At the end of the season he would be crowned champion, with a comfortable 50-point lead over runner-up Joachim Winkelhock. His new teammate, DTM alumni Jörg van Ommen, would also score several podiums and a fourth-place finish in the final standings.

In 1998, Peugeot would retain the duo of van Ommen and Aïello, and for the last four rounds of the championship it would also field a third car for Michael Bartels. This time around, the Frenchman - who would go on to win the years' running of the Le Mans 24h with Porsche - would start his season rather poorly, and even with a four race winning streak late in the championship he'd still finish second to Johnny Cecotto in a BMW - by a mere three points. Van Ommen's year would also be rather ingenerous - with a win at the Norisring representing the sole positive highlight, and a final position of 10th in the standings.

While the Peugeot 406 wasn't terribly competitive in the British Touring Car Championship, it would be a solid performer in Germany. However, with the costs of the Super Touring formula ballooning out of control, and the siren call of the WRC growing ever louder, Peugeot sadly decided to fold its touring car program at the end of the 1998 season, abandoning both championships altogether.

But with this livery pack, you will be able to relieve the glory of Peugeot's Hasselröder-sponsored assault on German touring car racing.

Includes GEN_MATES, helmets, crew and driver suits.
Also included is an optional install which will replace the VRC logo on the car's display with the appropriate Pi Research one.

How to install: drag and drop the "Content" folder in your Assetto Corsa folder.
To use the Pi Research display texture, you should do the same with "Content" folder that you'll find in "OPTIONAL Pi display". Be avised, however, that due to the way the car handles the display texture, some of the files in the car's Extension folder will need to be overwritten - the change will apply to all skins regardless, so be sure to back up the original files provided by VRC before installing.
