hey guys,
after being requested about 5-10 times, I finally did it. and oh boy, this one was hard (blame my computer for that. 2012 CPU…)
anyway, why did I got so many requests for the Ferruccio 55/Ferrari 550 GTS? well, it seems that the original outside sounds of the Ferruccio 55 looks way too close to the Ferruccio 57/Ferrari 575 Maranello GTC(yes, it IS also a Maranello). so, after looking into MANY videos about the 550, I did get some samples that were correct.
I'm not a fan of Ferrari. and the 550 GTS is far from being my favourite Ferrari car. but that doesn't mean that I did not put any efforts into this work(my PC on the other hand…)
well, let's start with the obvious:
you can clearly hear that the in game 57 has the correct sound, which is the 575 GTC. a low and very agressive grumbling/screaming V12. the in game 55, on the other hand, doesn't sound like its real life counterpart. and it was said that in real life, you hear the echo emaning from the exhaust. I agree. but still, the main engine which is shared with the 575 is barely audible when the car is running. only when you're at maximum 20m from the car, you can hear the main V12.
like here at around 1:17:
the hardest part was to find a correct onboard sound. but the quality of those onboards is really bad. either not enough bass, either too distorded, either too much main V12 grumble. it was really hard to get it good enough
here's what I've came with so far:
I use Winrar for the compressed files. so, don't be surprised if it doesn't work if you use 7zip
