My father's Trabant 601 Painting for TM-Modding Trabant P 601 RS Mod

When I was a little boy in the GDR there were no cars from West Germany, like VW, Mercedes or BMW, instead we in the GDR only had:

BMW/EMW models 321, 327 and 340 (1949–1955)
Sachsenring P 240 (1956–1959), small number, only sold by authorities and party institutions
IFA F 8 (1949–1955)
IFA F 9 (1950–1955)
AWZ P 70 (1955–1959)
IFA P2M/P3 (1952–1966), no new car sales to private/civilians
Trabant 500/600 (1958–1965)
Wartburg 311/312/313 (1956–1965)
Framo/Barkas small van, new private purchase only with special proof of authorization
Duo (1961–1990), new private purchase only with special proof of authorization.
Trabant 601 (1964–1990)
Wartburg 353 (1966–1989)
Melkus RS 1000, marketed exclusively by the ADMV and only available to selected people
Wartburg 1.3 (1988–1990)
Trabant 1.1 (1990), only a few examples as most of the production was exported to Poland and Hungary

Here is a picture of our original Trabant that my father had and what i wanted to bring to AC, thanks to TM Modding!

My father drove a Trabant like so many people and he had to wait many years for it.

Because my father was a huge fan of racing from the rest of the world, not just GDR racing, and
He had contacts in West Germany and thereby also the results and magazines of the Formula 1 races and Le Mans and much more.
He decided to give his (our) Trabant a special paint job and believe me that was something very special in the GDR, hardly anyone painted their Trabant or in boring colors.

Unfortunately, I no longer have contact with my father but i wanted to paint his Livery in AC, here it is!

And as a special treat, i also created original "Pneumant" tires for the Trabant.

Pneumant Reifen GmbH Fürstenwalde was the only company that manufactured tires in the GDR.
