Here's a 3-pack of skins I created to help fill out an authentic 1966 Can Am season grid. These are for Legion's McLaren Elva Mark II, but they should be compatible with the ACL M1B as well. This pack includes:
Chris Amon #5, teammate to Bruce McLaren for Can Am events in 1966.
Both the 4 and 5 were painted red in 1966, as opposed to the famous orange from 1967 onward. His best finish was 2nd at Bridgehampton, although I'd like to highlight his performance at St. Jovite, as he spun out late, but recovered nicely to finish 3rd. Unfortunately, Amon failed to finish the remaining 4 events of 1966.
Chuck Parsons #10, this car ran in various USRRC events and all 6 Can Am events in 1966.
His best finishes were 1st (!!!) at USRRC Road America and 3rd at Can Am Mosport.
John Cannon #62, campaigned in 1966 at various USRRC events and all Can Am events.
Whereas it seemed most cars on the grid were some shade of red, John Cannon stood out with a mint-ish green Elva. A 5.4L Chevrolet V8 helped propel Cannon to best finishes of 4th at Can Am St. Jovite and 2nd at USRRC Kent.
For 1967 Cannon's number changed to 33, and the car was painted... red. *sigh*
