Hi,

This is my first creation for Assetto Corsa. A gravity racer AKA soapbox cart for downhill races without engine.

It comes with a small engine with a single gear in order to provide only the first push before the free downhill run.

Project is still under development and updates will come soon... Enjoy.

Great car! Try Pikes Peak downhill in this car it's a blast. Once you realize how fast you can take the tight turns, you can make it all the way to the bottom. It gets a little slow towards the end, but it is a challenge to maintain your momentum. The gas motor helps. Lots of fun.
This is fantastic fun! I watch a lot of the Coches de Madera and I've always thought it would be an awesome sim racing experience, and this is very close to that! Very unique and fun mod to play with and is difficult to master. Thankful for the update! I think the brakes are way way too powerful and need to be reduced by half, and then again by half. Also the tires have almost too much grip, but it's less of an issue than the brakes. Also, would love to see some updated material shaders, these cars are fun to play with but they look a bit dated because of the very simple materials used. Very great work, looking forward to more updates and more tracks to race these on!
This is excellent fun.
The brakes need reducing in power, as well as the grip.
I'd love to give this some caster too.
it works well at Mt Akinia Downhill, Lake Louise, and Hillclim Los Marteles Downhill.
Make the brakes far less powerfull, reduce rolling resistance a bit and make some track for it(because there isn't any really) something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KK77jDwfd1M&feature=emb_err_woyt
This is just so much fun! A great downhill run if you've got the track is Lake Louise West downhill. Got your cart up to 112 km hr and it's quite a challenge to get all the way down the 11 km run without touching the brakes. Unfortunately Lake Louise doesn't seem to be in the downloads anymore. My only two suggestions for your cart are to reduce the brake power by about half and some other skins would be great.
Superb, and so much fun to has a car like this finally on assetto. Now we need someone making a real funny downhill track for this cars, and server to make even more funny all together....

IMPROVMENT: The brakes are a bit to sensitives in my opinion and would be nice to get a same smooth FFB but a bit stronger.

Cheers Mate for your work
Just what i am looking for today ! And love it !
Remenber when i was young... (the real soapbax less good than this one )

Thanks! I am developing it on the Akagi Mountain Pass

Good starting point; as for improvements for this stage I'd recommend removing the turbo from the engine.ini and reducing the torque values in the power.lut as low as possible while still letting the car pull off the grid.

As for more complex stuff, I suggest making a sound-fx bank that removes any and all engine noise, leaving the sounds of the brakes, suspension and tyres.
Great fun! Thanks! It would be great to see some downhill courses made specifically for this.
