Thank ya!
I think this is good, but I do feel quite a 'bump in the middle' now. Could you give me the original settings for [FF Tweaks] So I can revert and retest?

[FF_TWEAKS]
MIN_FF=0.00
CENTER_BOOST_GAIN=0
CENTER_BOOST_RANGE=0

These are the original. I can reccomend you something like this, though:
[FF_TWEAKS]
MIN_FF=0.00
CENTER_BOOST_GAIN=2
CENTER_BOOST_RANGE=0.001
This works nicely, however it seems like when I'm at the center it tends to "clip" a bit or so it seems.

That's because it changes often the motor used (g27 has two motors, one for right, one for left)
does not fix the deadzone , I have G27 .. followed instructions as you provided , but deadzone is still evident.

And why other people are happy about it? Look, or you have wrong up something in the installation (if you don't feel any difference, probably you have installed it bad), or you have low master force feedback multiplier (in that case the difference felt can be little, I guess). In that case, you can tweak the values I provided. You could increase the boost multiplier value. Too much boost causes continuous clipping when the steering wheel is straight.
