very low FPS

i have the same problem, i cant get above 35 fps runnig the 0.8.33 version, is there a way to fix the problem?
im running an i7 with nvidia GT 425M which should be enough to run the game smoothly or am i wrong?

Honestly, imo I would not suggest anything slower than a GeForce GTX460 for Racer. Some people are all saying "lolz, get a GT240" or something like that but as far as I am concerned that is waaaaaayyy too slow.

My GTX285 works very nicely and yes a better nvidia card will help with the fps.

Yea, but at least the GTX285 is a high end card of it's generation and is not insanely ancient.
What I meant was kinda more on the side of "if you have to go out and buy a card right now" sorta thing.
