Notes
Post Patch. 1:34.799 on Primes in FP conditions. Car is pretty balanced with a slight oversteer in the long left hand sweeper in Sector 2. It has good low speed grip in the corners.

Note
I love this track, the time I did was decent, I am sure its possible to get closer to the 1:26s but it means everything has to be bang on right. Time of 1:27:359. Enjoy!

Yea it seems that the setups dont need a dramatic change, just some tweaking to make the car more stable. Still you will definitely be a few seconds slower in time trial now because of the bugs being fixed.

I just finished up the 100% race. This set-up needs more grip, or more Downforce. Tyre wear post-patch is killing the Options after just 10 laps in Race trim, and could only get about 17 good laps out of my primes. If anyone has something better please post!

used kyles red bull setup as a base and just made it a bit more stable and easier on the tyres worked well, had a good race with this setup and managed to hold good pace in all 3 sectors. Its loads better than stock :p \not perfect so anyone's welcome to improve it.

Hi mike have a look at the setup I just posted, to keep your thread tidy I have posted it in its own thread but it may help you tweak one for the Williams, I found with the force India I was able to run a lot more down force than you and I still have a decent top speed due to shorter/better spaced gearing. Hope it helps.

Thanks Spils. This post patch has really thrown me a curve on these set-ups. What works for practice doesn't seem to translate well in race trim with full fuel. Looking over my notes my fastest lap in the race was only 2 tenths slower, but I lost so much time in the race and had to make 3 stops to the AI's 2 stops.

try it, not sure how it compares to your Williams one, but I managed a 5th in the race with a fastest lap of 1:36.483 I didn't notice any tire issues during the race.

11 - 11 wings ? didnt tested i drive with 5-5 5-7, will test it out, but im concerned that on long straight there will be revlimiter on half of it , isnt it ?

You would think that Malaysia would be a lot less wing, but the most time you can gain in time trial is being able to attack those long fast corners.

The straights are not too bad, you can use DRS and KERS for it in time trial anyway, I have one of the best times in Malaysia with this setup.

And yea I started using Red Bull, to be honest the Red Bull and Mclaren are exactly the same in time trial, its just quicker to pick Red Bull lol.
