Important

The BTB stage ACCT Ivato Reverse in this round didn't work for some of us in the club rally tonight. We couldn't join the rally, and got an error message that said we had to download the stage pack. It's a bit over 100MB, I started SS1 4 seconds before the deadline

You can try running an online rally with that stage to check if it's ok, you can miss or ignore this notice, and rush to download the pack like we did tonight :), or you can simply download and install the stage pack now:

NOTES:
  • Click here to read the password!
  • You will require the RSRBR 2010 (updates 03, 04, 05, and 06) mod in order to participate, please see the installation and usage threads.
  • You will also require the following Car Packs:
    A league: A8W03, A8W04, A8W05
    Premier league: N4_1, N4_2
  • Teamspeak is highly recommended, and adds to the fun.
IMPORTANT:
  • Please sign up in the following format: Real name - Car - League - Team - user name
  • Take a screenie of RSCenter, or save your times, showing your final results at the end of the rally (including the car you drove!). This is in case any of your stages are missed by the server. If there's a discrepancy, please post your times ASAP so we're not adjusting times over 24 hours later.
  • You must stick with the same car throughout the rally - if you change, your times for those stages will be defaulted.
  • If you are new to Richard Burns Rally, we have provided a set of guidelines to help you get up and running: Here and Here

Gravel ey? Hard enough to try and pedal the 2WD on tarmac, I'm gonna have a ball with you fellas on gravel...

Time to work on the playlist for this rally now then, I guess.. Any suggestions? :D

Only normal mod in good weather day ?
Just a thing, it can be good to say the location of all special like the first event (for example : France - Joux Plane (Normal, Bad, Day)).

I have been meening to write up bit of a story for this one but time got away from me.

Look at it like this, some times you get a rally that is in rain, fog and cold, this time we have good weather for the whole weekend (unfortunately there is no setting for "really hot" which is what I have made this rally like) It is dry, dusty and hot, the last rally before our championship takes a break for summer. (We are condenced into 5 months instead of a year, lol. After this the weather most likely won't be as nice, so enjoy this one while you can;) You also have an early start to the sunday stages, begining before the sun is fully up.

I try and make each rally feel and look as if it belongs to one event, and running different mods changes that effect. If anyone has any suggestions as to things that they think should be different please post your ideas in the "suggestions" thread. This is the first RDRC and any ideas you have could make the 2011 championship better and better. Senad and myself would love to hear your ideas.

I would even take Rick's explanation further - it's raining only for a fraction of time. It is completely unrealistic when every rally has stages in the wet/torrential rain. Some damp surface only in an event would be a plausible scenario too :).

I hope I wont miss this one... what I like is (like each Rally Club event lol) no preparation :D just jump for an hour of action

I want notice that each reports will be coming before the rally, I count day or two... stay tuned ;)

Looks like a fun one!

If I am the only one to be running in the US slot, can the time be moved an hour later (3 GMT / 11 Eastern)? That puts it just after my kids bedtime, much easier to concentrate on driving :)

Is it just me or is anyone else having an issue with the btb stage not running. Looks like it's loading through rscenter and does all it's loading meshes etc and then just sits there .

Cheers

John,

I just gave it a go for the first time to test it. It does take a long time to load the Stage but it finally loaded it. Mine took nearly a minute and appeared to do nothing during that time, but if I waited long enough, it did finally load.

However, I experienced a few bugs:
1. No pacenotes
2. The road side signs are rock solid if you hit them.
3. No clearly defined end of Stage, I kept driving for some time before it finally stopped.
4. The replays don't work in TV mode.
5. I had to use Task manager to close RBR and get back to RSRBR.

Of all of these bugs, the last one is always a concern for me, and the main reason I don't use them for Club Rallys.
