Dave, the one before this one was probably the best looking one, but the fact that it has the color scheme of the RDHCS logo makes it look more like the official pace car of the league than a private entry lol.

With that said, IMO, this latest one is my fav.

I have just uploaded my skin to RD GTL Downloads Section and have PM'd Stuart.

I thought I would post here to ask what to most is probably totally obvious - but left me scratching my head. So here goes :

How should I have sent it over to Stuart. [Insert red faced embarrassed smiley thingy here]

Most people do it by one of the free file hosters (sendspace / mediafire / etc)

Either way, I've got it now, so pls delete from the downloads, and I'll put up a full pack by the end of the week for next Tuesday.

I would've put it in an archive (zip, rar, whatever), and uploaded somewhere (speedyshare.com, dropbox.com, whatever), and sent him the link.

Can anyone help me get those window stickers and banner less shiny?! I've painted them white on the alpha channel but no joy trying to get them looking normal!

I'm saving them in DXT5 with 6 mipmaps.

I was having the very same problem Ross. I got fed up with trying to figure it out and just removed all my window decals.

BTW, love the color combo, we gotta be careful though, someone might say we are on the same team lol.

Yeah I used Stuart's method initially. I think I may just try to darken the stickers a little and see if that helps.
Carlos- I think your black alpine skin was the best of the bunch, and I'm not just saying that because mine is yellow!

The way it works, the stickers are on the "inside" of the windows, so you get the shine from the glass on top of the stickers.

I've never really got it to work without that shine, to be honest.

That's probably something to do with my laptops crappy graphics card which I made the screenies on.
In-game on my gaming rig they both seem just fine.. (or maybe I need a new pair of glasses )

OK - That's it now for User Created Liveries for Round 0 - Test Event

I will do my very best to use all your files without meddling too much.

The only thing I will definitely change is the bik file if it is more than a single frame, and that is just for file size considerations rather than artistic judgement. Beyond that, you will have no-one to blame but yourselves.

I've pretty much completed my skin & windows file now. Managed to make the stickers on the side windows stand out a bit more, and just deleted the rest. Will check it over again and see if there's anything else i can do to tidy it up. Meantime. here's some preview pics, so if anyone wants to give me a few pointers then fire away!

A-ha! May i also have a copy of the alpine-renault badge? I tried to find a good quality version of it but no luck. As a result, my skin over-emphasises the 'Renault' in 'Alpine-Renault!

Not enough brown in my livery.
