Hello all.

As is customary, I will be starting to trail the next RDHCS season while still in the middle of the current one.

This time though, the process will be slightly accelerated, because we have a shorter break between seasons as we adjust to our timetable that avoids the peak Summer Holiday season and the Christmas/New Year break. This allows more people to compete in more rounds without absences.

There are just 6 weeks between Season 9 finishing & Season 10's Test event and so, as I'm aware that some of you like to have some extended testing time on the cars, I'll be announcing the final S10 vehicle list between Rounds 4 (23/10) & 5 (6/11) of this season. That will give you all around 3 months before the S10 Test event (29/01) to take them out, shake them down, spin then round, light them up, or whatever verb + preposition combo you like best.

I suspect that you will need the time to do your due diligence, as we have (deliberately) kept the vehicle carset quite large for S10, hopefully to provide even more variety and make the already tricky choice that much harder.

The last thing that will be released will be the finalised track list, as we are still compiling that at the moment, so you won't have the full 3 months of testing the League cars on the League tracks.

As finalised details emerge, those details will be formally posted in the (yet to be created) S10 Intro & Info Thread, and this thread will metamorphosise into the S10 General Chat thread as we get past the end of S9. Until things are finalised, everything I say in here and should be filed under a "provisional" banner.

As always, there is to be no talk of laptimes, relative speeds etc. either before the vehicle confirmation while you are speculating, or after confirmation when you are testing.

Here are the details I can release now:-

Nominal Season Class: GTC-65 (I say nominal, as there may be cars that are unbalanced in their own class that match up well in this set).
Number of Available Vehicles: 9
Default to mod ratio: 4:5
Rounds: 8
Format: 100km (200km finale)

Vehicle set teasers:
3 of the 9 cars have appeared in previous Seasons run by me (not necessarily in the same season as each other).
2 of the 9 cars have models in the Current season.
There is 600kg between the lightest and heaviest cars in the S10 car set.
The most powerful car has nearly 3x the power of the weakest
1 of the 9 cars has never been used by RD in any event (yet).
There are 5 different manufacturing nations represented in the car set

Test 1 - Italy
Test 2 - France
Round 2 - UK
Round 3 - Australia
Round 4 - Germany
Round 5 - USA
Round 7 - Spain

So there is an Aussie track. ;)
Guess I should be trying to get this one, but I'm not sure if we have decided to allow the older Codemasters portovers these days (which covers most of the classic Aussie tracks). Assuming we don't, then the list gets limited.
Soooo, maybe.......

Melbourne

To co-incide with the F1 GP there in March.

Senad Subasic - Incorrect
Neil Gault - Correct
Ross McGregor - Incorrect
Tim Ling - Incorrect
Roland Warmenhoven - OK, ignored, and Incorrect
Warren Dawes - Incorrect

Couple of further comments (Just reminders basically)

1. Don't forget there is a fantasy track in there somewhere, that we have assigned a real world location - see Clues 7 + 9
2. Roland's logic is faulty in his "please ignore" guess - see Clue 2 - there's a distinction between Leagues and Single Make Series
3. The Clues only refer to the Race venues, the Test venues may or may not both be defaults, or one of each type.
4. I'd never knowingly allow an illegal conversion in my League Schedule.

me said:
Clues:
1. None of these specific tracks have featured in previous League seasons, although an alternative version of one has.
2. Two of the tracks have appeared in our "single make" series
3. As at the date I'm writing this, 5 of 8 tracks have been used in Club events
4. 2 of 8 tracks require the "gdb fix" to work correctly on an online lapcount race - which we will provide.
5. The longest track is over 2x the length of the shortest
6. None of the 8 Race venues is a default track.
7. 3 of the 8 tracks are "Fantasy" tracks, 2 of which actually specify where they are situated. The other "location" will be assigned by us.
8. The highest lapcount is not the enduro, but Round 5, with 32 laps.
9. We go to 4 continents in our schedule - 1 of which thanks to point 7 above.

Thought I'd combine the list here to make it easier to track:

Calendar
T. Tue 29/01/13 - 2010 Vairano (Italy) / Magny Cours National (France)
1. Tue 12/02/13 - Autodromo Internacional Algarve (Portugal)
2. Tue 26/02/13 - Anglesey Circuit (U.K.)
3. Tue 12/03/13 - Australia
4. Tue 26/03/13 - Motodrom Schottenring (Germany)
5. Tue 09/04/13 - Portland70 (USA)
6. Tue 23/04/13 - GP200 (Singapore)
7. Tue 07/05/13 - Jarama 79 (Spain)
8. Sat 18/05/13 - Piddy SH (Switzerland)

I'll try Philip Island

Well you got me, my logic indeed usually deteriorates as the week progresses:laugh: , but help me out here, please?
With GP200 being used in the Mini series, this would rule out any of the Boss tracks wouldn't it?

More dubious logic: Portland was the only USA track I could find with the correct length (100 km in 32 laps) so I assume you guys placed the unlocated fantasy track there? (OK, I'll take that serious face now :D ) too much logic..
