STEPHAN SO STRONG IN SPIELBERG
R11 - Austria - Race.png

Stephan Bohner took his 3rd win in 4 races as he powered home for victory in the Austrian Grand Prix, held at the A1 Ring after late problems with the Osterreichring. From the start the Dutchman swept around the outside of polesitter Joel Rautavaara, quickly making a gap that was never really in doubt.
Behind, numerous spins and retirements occurred at Turn 5 and Turn 7, over the course of the race we saw Sigoulakis, Lintner, Diehl, Engberink, Rautavaara and others take numerous travels off the track. Diehl in particular must have been annoyed, he was in a similar predicament last season.
Through the first stint, the fastest man was Andy Black, but while he was taking the world by storm it became apparent that the Dane was again going against the run of the mill, and going for a two stop strategy. The speed he showed early quickly was proven rather non-existant, Jack Hunsley in particular breezing past the Speedy in the final stint without any trouble.
But towards the front, James McNamara snuck into a strong position, holding down a podium. His charge to catch Omer Said for second was to no avail, but it did keep him out of a stirring battle between Jamie Cocks and Rob Sharp, the Brit keeping his Australian counterpart at bay long enough to see the line.
Rinneaho and Hunsley both made up 14 positions to finish strongly in the points ahead of Black, Csako who had a few spins and Rautavaara who was somewhat similar in being off the circuit.
Next round we head to the home of Falcon Motorsports, as well as Krisztian Lintner and Laszlo Csako, for the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Championship Round Up: Bohner continues to pull away from his competitors, his teammate the main challenger to a maiden title. We're nearly through two thirds of the season, and with little time left this is starting to become a title winning lead. N-Tech meanwhile are nearly 100 points to the good in the constructors, but watching DTK swashbuckle their way to being 6 points from third is definitely the talking point.

RDFIA Press Conference
@Smartbean You're making a real push now for the title, is there anyone that you have an eye on?
@Omer Said A long race today, but you've driven a smart race and were rewarded for it. Any idea where the extra speed is needed?
@James McNamara Rumour has it that your boss threatened to sack you if you didn't get a podium, does it feel better to have control of your future in your own hands now?

Press Paddock
@TTupsi @Márk Lintner Big announcement ahead of Falcons home race, do tell us some more?
@Jimlaad43 Seems one of the top seats in the competition is up for grabs, do you have a target, or waiting for them to come to you?
@Rob Sharp @Jamie Cocks Big battle today from you two, talk us through it and how you reacted in parc ferme.
@Diehl There is just something about this track that doesn't agree with you?

The standings aren't updated YET. I'm on a train about to arrive in Melbourne and really can't be bothered with so much copy and pasting with a trackpad :D
Budgets are updated though.
