~Grid~

grid2.png

Pre-race: After a World Motorsport Council meeting, Viljar Parts is DQ’d after it transpired that he used fuel with too much octane in it at the Australian Grand Prix. Riccardo Rosset also misses the Malaysian Race after a front wing irregularity in Australia
Lap 1: Pole sitter Gutteridge gets a dreadful start, and Respati uses all of his skill to avoid smashing into Matthew of the start line, but as he does he loses control of the car and hits the wall at turn one. Tusting get’s an amazing start, jumping into second from 7th place.

3) Matthew Gutteridge
4) Niels Pedersen
5) Honk
6) Sebastien Levret
Lap 6: Gutteridge isn’t doing very well still, slipping even further down, into 6th, behind Pedersen, Honk and Sebastien Levret. On the run down to turn four, Tusting pulls out of Stephenson’s slipstream, and takes the lead.
Lap 11: Levret is on a charge, overtaking Honk and Pedersen. Near the end of the lap, Minardi’s Probert has a right rear blow-out, sending him out of the race. Rhys Gardiner also moves past Gutteridge, his pole clearly a red herring.

3) Sebastien Levret
4) Niels Pedersen
5) Honk
6) Rhys Gardiner
Lap 15: Tusting and Stephenson pits, but a tyre that won’t come out of its warmer sends his chances of retaining his lead to the dogs. Gardiner is on a charge, as is Honk, and they are reigning in Pedersen at an incredible Race
Lap 18: Pedersen, Honk and Gardiner pit, and Gutteridge briefly retakes the lead. Pullen tries to pit, but a brake linkage problem means he hits the pit wall, and retires.

4) Ben Tusting
5) Dave Stephenson
6) Sebastien Levret

Lap 25: Gutteridge and Duivilaar pit. Stephenson knocks off the front wing near the hairpin and is forced to pit, ruining a good prospect of a race victory.
Lap 31: Tusting is beginning to pull away. Bduddy now is really pushing. With Stephenson seemingly out of the picture, he sniffs a point of two, moving past Buxton into 9th

6) Peter Duivilaar

Lap 35: Pedersen is off off off! At turn one. He recovers, but any points hope is all but lost.
Lap 40: Tusting, Levret and Honk pit. The Jaguar pit crew, flawlessly get Honk out in the lead, with Tusting second and Levret third.

6) Dave Stephenson
Lap 45: Rhys Gardiner, bduddy and Duivilaar pit, leaving Honk once again in the lead. There’s going to be an amazing battle to the finish, any one of six drivers could win, from Duivilaar’s Renault, to bduddy’s Arrows!
Lap 53: Still, six drivers battle for the victory, swapping the lead almost corner by corner. All six are on the ragged edge, and could trigger a massive crash at any moment. How will this turn out?
Lap 56: Wow! Duivilaar took the lead into turn one, but like his team-mate, lost control and struggled to get back to track, losing over half a minute escaping the gravel. In the end, Ben Tusting managed to cross the finish line, with Levret, Honk, Gardiner and bduddy all separated by a second.

And the final race before the start of the European season takes place at Brazil. Already a great battle between Jaguar and Williams is beginning to form, and the twisty Interlagos circuit provides the perfect setting for a battle to really take shape.

Third race and third different results! This Season has many surprises for us it seems!:victory:

renault-f1-racing.jpg

Niels Pedersen won the Brasilian GP with an outstanding pace. He managed to overtake his rivals in front of him. He refreshed his morale after two disappointing races this year.

Sebastien Levret managed to take the 2nd step of the podium. He is doing fantastic work with his Sauber. He is very consisting while fast.

David Buxton, you may ask who is he ?! Yes he is returned with a great podium finish. He says " McLaren is still hERE! "

Honk! The Flash racer of this year. He could'nt continue his podium finishing serie but he again took great points.

Viljar Parts took the first point for Jordan this year. Jordan was really disappointed at first two races. But this 2 points will boost the team's morale for sure.

Another Mclaren Driver Matthew Gutteridge takes the last point. With him, Mclaren is the only team which scored with both of their drivers. They really returned to the racing.

~Qualifying~

The Qualifying session was a brilliant one. With half the session down, it started to rain and Bert Van Waes was caught unawares and hit the wall, stopping the session. When the session restarted, as suddenly as it had started, the rain stopped. The main losers, for no apparent reason other than lack of pace, was the Ferrari of Garry Pullen and the McLaren of Matthew Gutteridge, they start 14th and 15th. In the end it was Honk's Jaguar who came out on top with the Sauber of Levret in second and (suprisingly) the Arrows of bduddy that rounded off the podium

~Race Report~

Lap 1: And the Brazilian Grand Prix is GO! Great start from pole sitter Honk and bduddy jumps past Levret into second place. Duivilaar leaps past Gardiner into sixth.

~Race Standings after Lap 1/71~

1) Honk
2) bduddy +0.7
3) Sebastien Levret +1.1
4) Ben Tusting +1.3
5) Dave Stephenson +1.8
6) Peter Duivilaar +2.0

Lap 8: Levret sets the fastest lap, lighting up the board in purple! He moves past bduddy and Honk into the lead. Is he light on fuel? Only time will tell.

Lap 15: Yes he was. Levret pits, surely three stopping. Honk and bduddy now engage in a battle for the lead, swapping places every corner! After a great start, Viljar Parts jumps past Duivilaar into sixth position. Could Jordan finally get some points on the board?

~Race Standings after Lap 15/71~

1) Honk
2) bduddy +3.1
3) Ben Tusting +3.8
4) Dave Stephenson +4.2
5) Sebastien Levret +4.9
6) Viljar Parts +5.4

Lap 25: Honk and bduddy pit. Once again, hitch less, the Jaguar gets out ahead of the Arrows, but not ahead of Levret, who once again is on a charge.

Lap 31: Parts, Tusting and Stephenson pit. Van Waes, unfortunately for him, smashes into the wall at the final turn, with a sickening crunch that brings out the safety car.

~Race Standings after Lap 31/71~

0) SAFETY CAR

1) Sebastien Levret
2) Honk +0.1
3) bduddy +0.2
4) Dave Stephenson +0.3
5) Viljar Parts +0.4
6) Ben Tusting +0.5

Lap 37: In another amazing twist to this race (still under the safety car) it has started, suddenly, to rain! Everybody has to pit for the wet tyres. Safety Car in at the end of lap 40.

Lap 43: The rain is coming down ever harder. The big winner of the rain is Niels Pedersen, who was the first to pit for wets, while others waited for another lap, and has inherited third position! Everyone is slipping and silding, with no real grip at all. Gutteridge screams to Ron Dennis for the race to be stopped.

~Race Standings after Lap 43/71~

1) Sebastien Levret
2) Honk +0.5
3) Niels Pedersen +3.0
4) bduddy +7.6
5) Viljar Parts +8.7
6) David Buxton +10.1

Lap 49: Still the rain continues to pour, and fourth place bduddy learns the hard way that in F1 pushing in the wet is not a good idea, hitting the wall at turn one. David Buxton and Niels Pedersen seem to have had a burst of inspiration and are moving through the pack at a mile a second!

Lap 56: Finally Omer Whited has called a day on this race, with too much rain coming down to see in front of you. Niels Pedersen’s late charge grants him the victory, with Levret second, Buxton third and Honk fourth.

~Race Standings after Lap 56/71 (Race Stopped)~

1) Niels Pedersen
2) Sebastien Levret +3.4
3) David Buxton +5.6
4) Honk +7.8
5) Viljar Parts +11.8
6) Matthew Gutteridge +15.9
7) Peter Duivilaar +20.8
8) Garry Pullen +25.6
9) Ben Tusting +30.3
10) Dave Stephenson +1 LAP
11) Marcus Probert +1 LAP
12) Rhys Gardiner +2 LAPS
13) Resi Respati +2 LAPS
14) Riccardo Rosset +2 LAPS
15) Kyle Evers +4 LAPS
