Slightly Mad Studios' Head of Development Ian Bell unveiled a new render of their upcoming community funded simulation game C.A.R.S.. The render is showing a Le Mans Protoype Audi R18 TDI in a fictional livery.

Although the idea of Community Assisted Race Sim sounds very innovative and spectacular there are still a lot of questions unanswered. We hope to have more insights on this upcoming simulation soon.

In the meantime enjoy some other screenshots on the forum.

Would you be interested in funding a developer and in exchange have your say in the development process of the product. Or is it just a tactic to get a studio funded that lacks a publisher/investor?

If its not, then god help us.
In all seriousness though, they have said time and time again, its not good optimising when there is still so much code to go in, that any optimisation would be made null.

One thing is for sure...Good quality=good PC specs...
Best quality=Best PC specs....Its math...it will be impossible to have a game who looks almost realistic to run perfectly on medium-high end PCs....not to mention a X3 LEDs rig at above 70-80Fps with at least 20 cars on track.Well maybe NASA can give us the MOTHER of all PCs...
The tech behind video cards as everything else is evolving, bringing new products to the user, better products, more powerful....thats money, its a cycle.
