Slightly Mad Studios' Head of Development Ian Bell unveiled a new render of their upcoming community funded simulation game C.A.R.S.. The render is showing a Le Mans Protoype Audi R18 TDI in a fictional livery.


Although the idea of Community Assisted Race Sim sounds very innovative and spectacular there are still a lot of questions unanswered. We hope to have more insights on this upcoming simulation soon.

In the meantime enjoy some other screenshots on the forum.

Would you be interested in funding a developer and in exchange have your say in the development process of the product. Or is it just a tactic to get a studio funded that lacks a publisher/investor?

No retouching or photoshop. These are grabs from fraps as the game is running, then simply uploaded to flickr.

With an FXAA type injector, you can increase saturation, exposure etc to your liking.

I am kind of noob in this, where you doing with FXAA? in game (F1) or win?

The FXAA is a set of files you drop in the games install folder. It allows for extra anti-aliasing plus you can increase the saturation etc. You can use it in most games. Really useful when you have blurry console ports with brown filters like codemaster games, you can tweak so it looks (to me and others) better

A new one called sweetfx is out (uses SMAA instead of FXAA) and I'm trying some settings out. The latest pics are done with sweetfx.

I'll post it very soon if you like.

can you show ur settings in sweetfx...i just love ur colours and everything...i try but is or to much colour or i lose sharpnes ))...sorry if i am boring you but realy i didnt see anywhere so nice picture...and ofcourse i like to play pcars with this settings
