Welcome to RaceDepartment's Racing Club for Project CARS! Project CARS can be played on various platforms: PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and we'd like to facilitate and encourage our members to post challenging casual events for members by members.

Platform Prefixes
We now use Prefixes (which you will be required to select when creating a new race (thread).

Setting up a race
First of all start with a plan. Post a thread not at the final moment before you want to race but open it a couple of days in advance. Official RD events are always scheduled a week in advance for the highest change on success.

Secondly order your threads properly and try to make it as simple as possible. Not everybody wants to read a wall of text with requirements. Keep it simple, easy and friend.

Contents of a racing club thread
  • Select a prefix for your platform of choice.
  • Thread Title: Car Class @ Track - Date
  • Thread Content: Use the template that will be posted soon.
Good luck and have tons of fun racing and we hope to see you on track soon!

As I said earlier I will set something up soon and make a post in the pCars club forums.
I see no reason why we can't have it like normal organized club event.
I'm really not sure about adding AI and we can wait and see what sign ups are like.

Ah okay, I think I need to read your posts again! :):whistling:
I thought there are no plans for pCars until the release of pCars 2.
This is great news to me and of course I can wait patiently for it:thumbsup:

EDIT: found it :) It sounded to me like "maybe, but only slight chances".
I can't do that, but will see if something can be arranged for an event soon.

Racing Rules

  • If you hit another driver during a Club race and disadvantage them, you are required to slow (or stop your car if necessary) to let the other driver regain the position on you. This shows respect to your fellow drivers and will encourage drivers to be more careful. Please use some care when letting the other driver regain position, and do not immediately stop your car on the racing line where it can cause further accidents.
  • If it's reported and confirmed that you do not allow the driver you disadvantaged to regain their position by the end of that lap then you will receive an immediate 30 day ban from racing on RaceDepartment servers.
  • When you ave signed up for an event we expect you to be there. If for any reason you can not make it you can sign out up until one hour prior to the practice session. Signing up means you are committed to finishing the entire race.
  • If you are involved in an accident, do not leave your car parked on the driving line where it can cause interference to other drivers or further accidents. Return to the pit box safely and repair your car to continue the race.
  • If you accidentally leave the track for whatever reason you must wait until there is a clear, safe gap before rejoining the track. Upon rejoining the track you must get up to speed as quickly as possible without blocking the racing line.
  • Never attempt U-turns on the racing line as you will cause an accident.
  • Do not alter your line or braking for a faster car behind you. Unpredictable moves have a way of ending the race for both of you. Let the faster car dictate when and where to initiate a pass, and only then assist by easing off of the throttle.
  • Do not deliberately cut the track. The white (or yellow) lines mark the edge of the road. Do not cross them with more than two wheels.
  • Try and discuss any incidents with the other drivers involved after the race in a friendly manner. If you feel stressed out by an accident then take 24 hours to calm down, review the replays of the incident and resolve it in a mature way via PM. Do not make angry posts about it on the forum. If you cannot resolve the problem then please contact the staff member whom organised your race via PM, sending them an incident report that follows the procedure outlined here.
  • Follow all safety rules as if you were in a real car on a real track; use the pit speed limiter in pit lane, observe all safety flags and lights, no donuts in the pit lane or on the track, no deliberate distraction of other drivers, etc.
  • It's strictly forbidden to record and broadcast TeamSpeak voice-chat via YouTube, Twitch and/or other media unless you have permission from all the drivers in the session.

After a long break, it's time for Project Cars again! With 14 different manufacturers to choose from, GT3 is the perfect class to kick this club off. Since Project Cars 2 is still quite new, expect things to break - the goal is to have fun and to put the game through its paces.

All premium members can sign up for this event and we have unlimited slots available so make sure to bring a friend. Sign up below and make sure to tag fellow community members who you think are up for a challenge!

I'm in with the NSX. (if there's a need to reserve a car on the server like in AC)

I find it pretty impressive how they managed to make the easiest GT3s to drive the most difficult, dear me those default setups are horrid. I wanted to drive the AMG GT3 but I can't even complete a clean lap. :(

If you're struggling try the other default setting labeled Stable for the cars, those are very planted and stable.
