Cars Matra MS650 Work in Progress

I am back and working on the project, I have received comments from the testing and comparing to the real Matra and adjusted a few things that were off about the model

1. Changed the shape of the canopy to make it more "bubbly/rounded" and flattened it a bit
2. Shrank the rear reflectors
3. Redid the front windscreen and added studs to it as well as lenghtened it to correspond to where the door seem will go
4. Adjusted the roll bar placement by moving it forward towards the cockpit a bit
5. Thinned the rear "pontoons" a bit to make them narrower
6. Rounded any edges that are sharp for better AC lighting
7. Few small bits and bobs here to tidy the model a bit.

I think will be ready just in time for my Le Mans 1971. :)

Another few things that have been ticked off for the car.
The body has been 100% completed model wise,
- Panel Lines have been cut into the bodywork
- Engine Inlets on either side of the cockpit have been cut out
- Latches for the bodywork have been added
- Retextured and re-uv mapped both Long and Short tail version
- Shrank the model 5% to allign it with real world data

Car is now ready to receive the proper physics and sounds

Things left to do
- Rim_Blur textures
- Cosmetic stuff like AO maps for textures
- Physics
- Create working lights
- Adjust the driver animation for new adjustments to the car
- V10 Noises
- Anything else I forgot

The car has been sent off for physics so awaiting that whenever the person is able to do it in the meantime, another few things that have been ticked off for the car.
- Rim_Blur textures
- Create working lights
- Adjust the driver animation for new adjustments to the car
- AO Maps

Things left to do
- Mirrors
- Physics (Model sent for Physics)
- V12 Noises (Model sent for Sounds)
- Anything else I forgot

The car is coming ever closer, once the Physics and Sounds are done the very first version of the car is ready to be released. After that other Content Manager goodies will be added as an extra.

The car is slowly being worked on, I received news that physics work has begun and unfortunately due to my new employment I'll only be able to work on this sparingly but the work is still continuing
I am trying (absolutely no idea when) to have a soundmod being made for the car... we'll be waiting for your car... in the next few months MAYBE.

Awesome looking forward to hearing it.

Little update to all. I have recently just been able to move houses since attempting to find one end of May.

I should slowly be able to get back working on the Matra. Physics are again being worked on, as for the model there are a few notes that QA testing have shown to be improved upon, I am about halfway through that list since it was sent to me and have few things left like
- Fuel/oil caps
- Clips
- Performance related tweaks like merging objects.
- Plus few more
 
Finally a real Matra! The work is perfect ! Just a remark concerning the driver's helmet, I would have preferred a 1975 helmet for this car, especially since I find that the 2012 is not realistic for this car!
 
Bit of an update on the car. Worked slowly on the car with some of the feedback that was received and made the following changes.
- Detailing of the Fuel and Oil Cap
- Fixed any parts of the car that need double faces
- Added a shelf behind the seats
- Updates to the geometry around the air inlets
- Glass on the Dials
- Changed the mesh on the Engine Cover and added roll Hoop Gap
- Seperated the Light Bod from the Body
- More thickness to the Glass
- Interior for the Left Door
- Filled gaps with black texture
- Indicator model for the front lights

Mostly fixes for the model so not much new things to show off.
New textures with Ambient Occlusion mapping will be coming once the model itself is 100% done.
Few things on the list remain
- Bodywork Clips
- 3D Rivets
- Rear Pins
- Bodywork Latches/Straps
- Windscreen Clips
- And merging objects by material groups.

You are doing a very good job but I allow myself a small remark concerning the elf sticker, I see the same error on all the cars in the game, Matra, Tyrrell, Alpine Renault etc. Here is the real logo of this era with a small difference on the letters
Have you also planned the driver's harness? because they are forgotten on many cars in the game.;)
