HistorX Mod Version 1.96 & DL link

As a avid GTL club racer im always on the look out for the next GTL, and after a good few days testing with fellow club drivers im very impressed with this mod,
I feel it may be a successor to GTL for a club racing, the ffb is very good with the real feel plugin, superb sounds from the cars plenty of well made liveries and a great selection of cars to choose from.

Who is driving this mod would any be interested in using this mod for club racing, with the added bonus
of other content from Rfactor to be used once in a while for fun nights, If we get enough interest i will consider running a few test nights to see how it all comes together as a package.

Hello Fabio

you need to go into the grinding tranny config
\HistorX\rFactor\Plugins/grinding Tranny.config
open it with note pard and assign a key to it

-------------------------------------------:
[General]
:-------------------------------------------:

:::: PluginActive ::::

: Turn the plugin on or off, or set it to turn on only when the current mod specifically supports
: and requests it (see Letter to Mod Devs)
: 0 -- Always Off
: 1 -- Active only when requested by the current mod (via the "Gearbox" upgrade)
: 2 -- Always On (default)

PluginActive=2

:::: PLRName ::::

: This is the Player Name you are currently using. This is used to load the correct gear ratios
: from the tempGarage.svm file which is automatically saved in the \UserData\PlayerName\ directory
: every time you join the track.
: Leave this as "Auto" unless you're having problems.

PLRName=Auto

:::: NeutralKey ::::

: The keyboard character that you have mapped to select Neutral in rFactor (remember to do this!).
: Recommend that you leave it on "Auto" but if its not working you can specify a lower case letter.
: For example: NeutralKey=Auto or NeutralKey=n

NeutralKey=n Assign a key to this

This will stop it shaking

I asked the guys at HistorX on their FB page if there were any plans to bring the mod to a newer/more up to date sim. Here's what was said.

Hi guys.
Are there any plans to bring this fantastic mod to a newer/more up to date sim such as rF2 or AC?

    At this point we can't share with you yet what we're doing. When the moment comes you'll know.

    But for sure we're not using anything created by Simbin.

    Regards

Look what i found on VR (posted by Rantam):

Technically this is the wrong forum section for those screenshots ;).
But it's still HistorX. Although regarding the current netcode i would prefer to see 2.0 in rF2.

The HistorX Historic Touring Car & GT mod surely is one of rFactor’s most popular modding project, created by a very talented team with a passion for historic racing and details.

Now, it seems like the famous mod is heading for a new home as Rantam, head of the HistorX team, has posted the following video, showing one of the HistorX cars in Assetto Corsa!

Ever since Kunos Simulazioni released the modding tools for Assetto Corsa, modding has picked up dramatically as promising projects are starting up left and right, revitalizing the mod community in a way that many people hoped rFactor 2 would have done.

If Team HistorX would be moving on to the new platform as well it would be a further boost for the AC modding community and further shape the title as the place to be for mods in sim racing.

Hi there!

after the video and these few screenshots we posted last week a lot of discussion from the community has followed. We're very happy to see the amazing support we still get, no matter if you think we're going to release the next mod for rFactor2, Assetto Corsa or both. So, thanks for that!

Having said that please note we haven't said we're moving from rF2 to AC. We haven't discarded choosing AC over rF2 either. At this point there's no final decision about what platform we're going to use. The thing is that it's not an easy decision and as a team we need to agree on that (and about a lot of other things). It's as simple as that

We have 4 cars on AC now. In rF2 there're way more (even a new working UI for this rF2 version was created back on 2012) but still nothing has been decided yet.

If you are familiar with our mod for rF1 you probably know that we don't release anything unless we think we've reached the highest quality level we can get at that point. We say this to make clear that you're not going to see anything coming from us any soon, no matter the sim you think about.

But to go back to what is important to clarify with this post: don't worry.. no matter the chosen platform/s or the focus of our next project we'll let you know with an official statement when the moment comes

Thanks once more for your continuous support!

Ps. Just in the case someone thinks we are just trying to create hype around us: let me tell you that all this started as a kind response to someone who wanted to see a specific car on AC (just search Rantam's post there):

Just got this mod for the first time a couple of days ago, absolutely incredible! I'm not a big rFactor player, but this mod will be giving me hours of fun for a long time to come! Awesome job all involved! :)

Hi Chris, I'm glad you like the mod. We're racing tonight at Goodwood. HERE
Not sure how much sim racing you do but tonight would be a great intro to the club as we're driving the GTTC-A0 cars. They're not that quick but they normally produce close and really FUN racing.
The guys are really friendly and we always welcome new members. :)

Hi to all,
can I post in this thread a video that I recorded with this mod?
Or it will be off topic?
In that case, which is the best thread where to post it?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Ricky,

you can post your video in this thread as rFactor doesn,t have a videos and screenshots section compare to all the other active sims that RD are supporting.

cheers
