This is a Endurance event :
Qualification start time: GMT 19.00 ( 30 min )
Race start time: GMT 19.30 (36 Laps Approx. 80 min)

Important Please Read

for this event we are using a modified version of the original Mercury Cougar mod made by Team 21 and Freinds, permission was granted by Team 21 to Yves Larose to make the modifications to the mod but an official release was denied but Team 21 agreed to a private distribution of it so therefore the download link of the modified mod will be pm to each participants upon sign up. it is strictly forbidden to give the download link to anybody and/or to upload the modified mod on any site its important cause its Yves reputation that is at stake here for future permission. the modifications are the following

- Tyres wear have been modified to suit the new fuel tank capacity and fuel consumption.
- The fuel tank have been reduce to 80 ltr compare to the 140 ltr of the original mod.
- The fuel consumption have been made higher then the original mod.
- The hud is now in English.
- Liveries have been add.

Note 1: tyre and fuel will be set at normal
Note 2: only the skins that come with the mod please, the first 20 sign up have to pick a different liverie after that the next 20 sign up follow the same rule. to see the liveries choice Click here
Note 3: Unpack simply extract the GameData file to the main GLT folder and let it override if asked if you already have the mod install it is recommended that you move it to a temporary location before installing the new one, it is also recommended that after the event you replace the modified version of the mod by the original one to avoid any conflict in further event using it.
Note 4: We are using the SIMBIN lobby for this event. See here how to switch lobby
Note 5: Qually is an unlimited lap type of qually.
Note 6: Racing Room must be given to all driversand this works both ways. Divebombing into and across a corner denies people the chance to make the corner correctly just as much as someone obliviously (or deliberately) cutting the nose off of another driver who has achieved partial overlap fairly.
On this track at the exit of turn 1 there is a big white kurb you are allowed to put 4 wheels on it but not pass that kurb, at the inner loop you are allowed to put 4 wheels on the white kurbs but not pass them, at the exit of turn 10 there is also a big white kurb again you are allowed to put 4 wheels on it but but not pass it. these are the only exception on the track please refer to the track map below.

Pic1 and Pic 2

Note 7: The pit entry and exit is a bit tricky on that track, you are required for the pit entry to obey the pitlane line that start between turn 10 and 11 and to maintain a decent speed to avoid any incident. On the exit please stay to the right of the white line until it end and be very mindful of possible upcoming cars.

Important please make sure to check if you have the skin #55 install if so delete it from the team folder its name is "PetrolheadsCATS55" the skin is most likely to cause problem. sorry i though i had it remove from the download file.

Despite the incident at the end i enjoyed a lot the race with everyone i meet, very good racing over 80 min.

That i'm quite impulsive and write fast what i feel should be know by the "older" guys here. That in the forum is wished only peace, happiness and cake fit simply not so good to me.

I'm sorry for the chat in race and all i might did wrong.

I want thanks all the drivers with i had wonderful races in the past.

Thanks to the organicers.

Well...
I came home at around 7pm. Turned on the pc, downloaded the track and the car, than joined to the server. I didn't have time for practice but I saw the list of the names and I wanted to take part from this event.
:roflmao:That is not quite the kind of event preparation our staff likes to see, but then it's pretty obvious you are a clean, very talented/skilled simracer with a clear understanding of this club's rules, which makes you can get away with this pretty well:p:thumbsup:

For me personally, I found this a very enjoyable event. I clearly lack a simrace skill or two as I'm over 4 sec. off the leaders' pace and have no clue how to be faster in these cars and meanwhile stay on track. None of that prevented me from having fun though as there were other people lacking these skills around me to race with most of the time. My race was pretty much incident-free apart from outbraking myself once when reading someone's "slowing to pit" message. I specifically told myself not to read all of those unless I was near the pit entry but couldn't help myself :D
The track is really nice, I love the cars and their raw sounds although it doesn't quite make me feel 'in control' all of the time:O_o: so everything was in place for a perfect race night.

Unfortunately I agree several things cast a pretty big shadow over what could have been a cracker for everyone.

(WARNING: Rant ahead!)

First of all, how on earth people can mess up a race start on a long straight THIS bad is beyond me. It all happened behind me so I wasn't affected but how can it be that anyone who did more than one practice lap does not understand that this is a very tricky very powerful car, so a start with over 30 of these (which is enough to slightly slow down some PC's and thus network traffic in the first place) should be done with the UTMOST care and just planting your foot down at the "GO" without any regard for the guys in front is just plain crazy. This is an ENDURANCE race for cryin'out loud; which means your track position after the 1st corner is completely irrelevant for where you're going to finish!!

Second of all: obeying the rules. The rules in this club are clear. The rules set for this event are clear. The rules are simple yet complete, there's a directive for any situation, and they have been the same for quite some time. They have been spelled out multiple times to everyone who reads the event threads, we don't even have to look:geek: for them!
By signing up you are expected to comply. Whether you like 'em or not. It's as simple as that.

If anyone intentionally breaks any of the rules just because they feel like it, I find that EXTREMELY disrespectful towards the staff and towards the dozens of hours of THEIR FREE TIME they dedicate to bringing us top-class racing events like these.
So if anyone feels they may have an issue complying with any of these rules, please don't sign up. Thats how I see it.

Be aware: I am no Saint. I occasionally make questionable manoeuvres on track. I make mistakes. We all do. And we all will. I've hurt others' races with incorrect split-second decisions. I've been hurt and knocked out of races because of others'. Thats fine with me. As long as everything is unintentional and we learn from our and others mistakes.
We all do this for fun. And it should be fun for EVERYONE involved. Staff Included.

This just can not be that hard!

(Rant over.)

Oh dear, I almost forgot: Many thanks to Rupe, Yves and anyone else involved in preparing this event.:notworthy: :notworthy:

And  and Thank You to everyone who made the effort to take care, and to make this an enjoyable event for everyone else as well:notworthy:

I enjoyed every second, I made a mess of quite a few of those seconds. One particularly stupid point, where I forgot just how close, and how fast, Mate was/is. I moved to the racing line entering turn nine, Mate was already there, and the only contact I had was the result.. Sorry Mate, most definitely my fault.

I'm sure I spent far too long on track, with less than grippy tyres, between stops. Then also spent too long in pits, when I eventually made a stop. I was gifted every place, from others misfortune. The results say I started 9th and finished 5th, disco's and minor off's, gave me that.

Grats to the top three, pace I can only wish for. Thanks to each and every one of you, a ball was had on the server, and on TS. Special thanks to Rupe, Yves and RD.

We had a great battle mate! ;-)
Your defense was clean, except that one in turn 9.
So thank you again for the battle.

Normally, I spend 2 days (2 hours per day) with practice, this was an exception due to lack of time.
But I always follow the rules.
I love to race here with you guys, so I hoping the best for the future.;)

bad news guy's :( my replay of the race is messed up and the server replay is not much better so i won't be able to make a decent video of the race unless someone can provide me with a good replay. it sucks cause i worked hard on the introduction part of the race with some cool stuff

The replay showing the wheels turning is a function of your ping and the bandwidth your games is set too. It is also affected by what cars are close to you i.e. the closer cars wheels respond correctly, while those on the opposite side of the track probably won't, as you won't need to see those in the race.

Put it in your GT legends/replaydata folder, and then you can open in it from the replay section in the game
When I dropped the file in I got a replay with sound but no cars, just a strange landscape with.... maybe the track floating above it. Anyway, I tried to delete it and found that it was in a folder marked GTR as well as in my gtl/replaydata.
