This is a Endurance event :
Qualification start time: GMT 19.00 ( 30 min )
Race start time: GMT 19.30 (36 Laps Approx. 80 min)

Important Please Read

for this event we are using a modified version of the original Mercury Cougar mod made by Team 21 and Freinds, permission was granted by Team 21 to Yves Larose to make the modifications to the mod but an official release was denied but Team 21 agreed to a private distribution of it so therefore the download link of the modified mod will be pm to each participants upon sign up. it is strictly forbidden to give the download link to anybody and/or to upload the modified mod on any site its important cause its Yves reputation that is at stake here for future permission. the modifications are the following

- Tyres wear have been modified to suit the new fuel tank capacity and fuel consumption.
- The fuel tank have been reduce to 80 ltr compare to the 140 ltr of the original mod.
- The fuel consumption have been made higher then the original mod.
- The hud is now in English.
- Liveries have been add.

Note 1: tyre and fuel will be set at normal
Note 2: only the skins that come with the mod please, the first 20 sign up have to pick a different liverie after that the next 20 sign up follow the same rule. to see the liveries choice Click here
Note 3: Unpack simply extract the GameData file to the main GLT folder and let it override if asked if you already have the mod install it is recommended that you move it to a temporary location before installing the new one, it is also recommended that after the event you replace the modified version of the mod by the original one to avoid any conflict in further event using it.
Note 4: We are using the SIMBIN lobby for this event. See here how to switch lobby
Note 5: Qually is an unlimited lap type of qually.
Note 6: Racing Room must be given to all driversand this works both ways. Divebombing into and across a corner denies people the chance to make the corner correctly just as much as someone obliviously (or deliberately) cutting the nose off of another driver who has achieved partial overlap fairly.
On this track at the exit of turn 1 there is a big white kurb you are allowed to put 4 wheels on it but not pass that kurb, at the inner loop you are allowed to put 4 wheels on the white kurbs but not pass them, at the exit of turn 10 there is also a big white kurb again you are allowed to put 4 wheels on it but but not pass it. these are the only exception on the track please refer to the track map below.

Note 7: The pit entry and exit is a bit tricky on that track, you are required for the pit entry to obey the pitlane line that start between turn 10 and 11 and to maintain a decent speed to avoid any incident. On the exit please stay to the right of the white line until it end and be very mindful of possible upcoming cars.

Important please make sure to check if you have the skin #55 install if so delete it from the team folder its name is "PetrolheadsCATS55" the skin is most likely to cause problem. sorry i though i had it remove from the download file.
 
I hate to say that but I have to apologize for not being able to attend. I have strong headache (due to the weather I'd say - 38°C is really just too much) and I am totally out of mood after spending 7 hours in the warehouse without air conditioning.. Sorry
 
Well, that didn't go so well :cry: Caught the grass into the esses and head-butted the wall. A 2 minute pitstop to repair the damage, the spun in front of Mate on cold tyres, so I hit esc.

Well, that did not go very well.
After chaos on the starting grid one of my rear tires was smacked and wrecked. Trying to get around to pit I think it was in turn 5 that I was going too fast for the damage and I spun and got stuck facing the inside wall.
With no room to move without backing straight onto the racing line in a banked corner in a damaged car... Not happening.

At least I did not get stuck in someone's T1 pileup so that is nice. And I could have had the car repaired if I was going slower. Oh well.
 
Well that was disappointing...I was involved in the crash at the back of the grid at the start of the race which damaged my car a bit but no biggie i'll just pit at the end of lap 1.

I get through the Bus Stop chicane, around the right, lose the rear and off into the grass and hit the wall and that was it, car died. End of race for me.

All the practice i did offline and I had the lil one go over to a friends place to play with their kid just to have myself go out the way i did:thumbsdown:
 
Disco'd!

Worked on getting a decent race setup during qualie, (doubt I could've got into the 03's!) as I struggled a bit getting a good feeling with this car in practise. Slow-ish start, Guus jumped ahead but Andreas fell behind. I tagged Guus up the rear in the turn after the Karroussel, but luckily not so bad that he spun. Sorry Guus, we had different braking points for that turn so I should've been more careful. Fell back with front-end damage, but managed to build my pace back up and was now lapping quicker than Andreas & Mate ahead. Passed Guus after he made a mistake at the chicane (I got a load of oversteer too, so it was a bum-clenching moment!) and was trying to catch Andreas when I lost connection. Bit of a shame it ended early as it was shaping up to be an interesting race!

Has to write here prematurely in the end. The pit stops confused the hell out of me.You have auto pit in but not out. I didn´t have AI control mapped on my new installation :( Got a stop and go for going a bit to fast out thinking I would be on pit limiter. I don´t have any speed counter just the original dash that is hard to see what speed I run too. I went in again for the stop and go but this time my stop was taken and the AI just ass rammed the car in front!

This stressed me up so much I got another stop and go for speeding! and my mind wasn´t there.
Sorry should have mapped AI key. Or is there anyway to get rid of auto pit completly in GT Legends. I dusted off that copy just for this race.
 
Yeah you can get rid of autopit in the conf file, I'll look it up for you later.
Had a premature end too, was doing ok but then overshot a corner and crashed, had to pit for repairs for 127 seconds ><
Went out again and the car was a bit weird, was off again and even more damage but it felt controllable, drove a few laps but got a stop/go for cutting a corner too many times, and when I was braking in for the pit I locked up and instead of entering the pit my car went left and out onto the start/finish straight instead!
Hit Esc as fast as I could cos I knew there where cars coming behind me, I think I got out of the way fast enough to not cause anything. Anyways, that was the end for me. Better luck next time to everyone who quit (I was dead last when I quit and at #20, so a lot of people dropping off!), and hope you who finish have had fun!
