G25 steering issue

I have been searching and have seen a few people with a similar issue so hopefully someone can help me out here or we configure something out together. I have a G25 that has worked fine for years but a few weeks ago the steering stopped, the buttons, pedals, etc. work fine. When I plug the wheel and turn right the resistance is the same as when unplugged but when turning left the wheel has much less resistance. When the wheel is just sitting I can here a light "ticking" noise/

ANY ideas or help would be much appreciated!
