DiRT Rally DiRT Rally Modding Request Thread

Yes, i feel that the overal visibility is extremely low, i think that the headlights are far from realistic in terms of strength.

I never run my sweetfx on while driving during the night, since it makes it unplayable.

Im fine with swapping between original and a modded file depending on if i play online or not!
(I usually play offline)

It feels like the headlights give you around 10-15 meters of visibility depending on map.

Good reference video:

The overall light rays should reach much further.

Btw, thanks for your FFB mod, i truly love it!
I am work right now, so I don't have the files to point you where the setting is. I'll let you know tonight when I get home. Its easy to change this

Alright thanks man, just point me to it and i will do some tweaking.
OK, the file you want to be looking into is :

Dirt Rally\Tracks\Generic\light_definitions.xml

Code:
  <Light_Type LightName="headlight_spot" type="Spot" colour="0.95 0.99 1.0" falloff="70" farAttenEnd="5" hotspot="50" multiplier="1.0" hasVolume="0" />

falloff is how far the light extends (most distance values are in Meters), and farAttenEnd is the sharpness of the falloff past that range
There are quite a few headlight entries so you will need to change them all equally I would think

This one, I can do after I finished the current project!

Okay so here's my question. Is there any possible way of someone making a mod to downscale the Mk2 escort wheel profile? I don't believe that the current wheels/tyres are correct for the tarmac stages. I think they look odd, anyone else thought this? help me out!

Does anyone here know how to do chrome? I've been looking around for hours and trying so many things, but nothing seems to work, I even used the same methods as F1 2013, but the effects never come out the same, I'm wondering if it simply isn't possible and that they opted chrome out for metallic.
