Released Badlands Revisited MOD

Maybe about time for a CG version? ;) These are the very basic shaders, I still need to do
ALOT of tweaking to get it right. The road is too shiny, the water is "flat" and I want more
action in the rock texture.. NOTE: The car is NOT CG! Please do not comment on that..

+1 for the bump mapping idea. It looks too low-contrast at the moment, almost like it's faded. See the comparisons below, and you'll see exactly what I mean, and probably have one of those ideas light bulbs go on above your head.

@FiftyOrange: thanks. Did see the light.. and see that the contrasts
are much too soft. The image comparison was a good ide! :)

Edit: After pondering a while over this, I realized that it cannot be
related to the textures alone. F.ex. FTT has good textures, but if
you compare my screenshots to some1's then you notice that his
are alot "crispier", which could be the result of a better GPU - OR -
that he is able to do things with shaders that I am not, obviously.

Will look more into it, but now I must get back to my studies, and
that means there will be no releases for a while.. both because of
deadlines, but also because I do not think my tracks are "mature"
enough for a release. Sorry about that..

it looks about as realistic as it can get.. and it feels totally amazing.

Edit: Beta test offer is for FiftyOrange only, he knows what to look for.
 
Another track that has become old. Am updating the shaders, the textures
and the skydome so it is 090-ready. There is an odd though, for some
reason the /original/ dof's are light and bright, but the ones I added appear
dark(er). It looks bad and needs to be fixed. There was a post on this a
looong time ago, but I forgot what the answer was. Tried "add light" and
just about everything, but the difference between the original dof's and the
new ones I added is too big for it to be ready for re-release. Any ideas?
