OK GTL-ers, we've had the Full Class events, to familiarise you with some of the cars and the scope of what . We'll be having some single make or specifically matched racing for a while now, covering ALL classes.

We are starting with a GTL TC65 Classic - Alfa Romeo vs Lotus Cortina.

Car Selection Rules
You are free to pick either vehicle for Race1, but must change to the other car for Race2. Please try and keep Race1 (and therefore Race2) nicely mixed, so look at what the person(s) above you have picked and then make your selection with that in mind

Notes:

Important: Please pay special attention to Racedepartment's Golden Rule: If you hit another driver and disadvantage him, we expect you stop and let the other driver regain his position on you. If this costs you many places (eg first few laps) then consider this a penalty for your driving infringement. Doing this shows respect to your fellow drivers and will encourage drivers to be more careful. Please use some care when letting the other driver regain position, do not immediately stop your car on the driving line where it can cause further accidents. Not following this rule will result in your membership of the racing club being terminated at once!

Lookin forward to some Cobra vs. Corvette races

As long as the cars chosen for any race are comparative and competetive, nothing is being ruled out.

I do seem to remember some Cobras driving off into the sunset away from Corvettes at Glen Watkins last week, so there's still stuff to consider there.

I'll be doing my level best to keep things close in all races I run, so there might be some not immediately obvious pairings depending on the relative speeds.

Just like Shaw Taylor - keep 'em peeled.

Ya I agree. Though I'm finding it very difficult for me in the Cortina. Im 2 seconds a lap slower in the Cortina vs the GTA right now. Can't seem to get the gearing right and Im clueless on setup. Keep trying hope to be competitive by thursday.

In my first brief test, I was pretty similar in both, they are nicely matched. Try being more aggressive with the Cortina, throw it around some more. Try the mid range gearing. I think how you drive at this track is more important than any setup, but I'm sure we'll all find plenty of people to have close fun racing with, that's what the GTL Group enjoy most.
I'll tip we all have some "loose the tail" moments in this one. :laugh2:
