AI Driver involved in corner cut protest.

David O'Reilly

A bad quali means I can go forwards in the race.
In news just in it seems that a Skip Barber AI driver has protested a human driver for corner cutting in a 1 lap shootout at Lime Rock Park.
It appears that the AI driver known as David O'Reilly and well known for his gentlemanly on track behaviour was somewhat miffed when after a completely clean overtake of his own he was re passed and a corner cut was clearly used to pull a gap by a human driver.
It is not known whether even 100% of the AI maximum pace was being used or how many attempts it took to pull off "the win" The finish line celebrations would be prima facie evidence that it was a big deal. Maybe it took a few goes? We will never know.

AI spokesperson assured us that 1 lap doesnt make a summer and that wet or changeable conditions and a longer race where tyre deg and strategy kick in would show who really has the upper hand.
RD members are invited to judge for themselves if the human driver played fair.

Oh dear, some people really can't take a joke.
In response, the ai was set to the level of performance his "real life" counterpart has shown across all platforms and that matched perfectly with the result. Also, the fact that this ai was placed in a "Skip Barber Trainer" sums things up nicely :roflmao:

p.s. For your info, the video now has 106 hits  and you advertising it will get a few more. Thanks. Oops, I'm on "ignore" and my name is "Marcin".

p.p.s. 111
