Scoring

Best 16/18 events count towards your point total at the end.

You must complete 75% of the race distance in order to earn championship points.

Point System

Penalties

A championship gives us the opportunity to deduct points or add time as a penalty. Below are the penalties for this championship. Please report incidents to the host. That will help to maintain the high standards of driving we are accustomed to in these events. For multiple unsafe actions within a single reported incident, the time penalties and point deductions are cumulative. You mauy be DQ'd from race or championship for unsportsmanlike behavior.

• Golden Rule: if you break the Golden Rule, all points will be deducted from that event. Normal procedure via formal report and internal discussion within RD staff if there's an disagreement.
• Unsafe overtake/defending or dive bomb: 5/10/30 second penalties for each case.
• Track Limits: 5/10/30 second penalties for gaining an advantage outside of tracks limits.
• Ignoring blue flag: 2 points taken off for each case.
• Dangerous Driving: 2+ points may be also deducted for any unsafe actions causing an incident (e.g. unsafe rejoin/unsafe pit exit/swerving on the straight etc.)
• All reported incidents and penalties to be judged by race host via the usual PM system. Gentlemanly actions, or otherwise, after an incident may effect the final penalty awarded.

I have been putting some effort into the Primera, obviously, it has one major issue.
The parameters of the setup are totally too restrictive, meaning it can never be setup properly.
You can never dial it in too work for different circuits. Come to think of it, you can never dial it in.
Shame I cannot put that statement to the test. I could try the very first derivative if the car, John was correct about which one I drove before, it is this one.
Will give it a go when I get home to my PC.

Well that was an eye opener, talk about looking at something through rose tinted glasses.
The 0.5 was crap, and as far as the 0.7 goes, slightly more stable, blessed with some better setup options, hence more stable, but hardly worth picking it over the latest one.
But the 0.7 just beats it for stability. not exactly night and day. The old memory does more flattering and is far less factual, that will teach me a lesson

Re your previous post Ernie, curiosity got to me and tried it again this eve - biggest surprise was playing with 'packers', I even wondered if the dev had mis-labelled them (instead of 'springs') due to the difference it seemed to make

To add.... certainly couldn't set it up like the Labrador Transporter, but the end result was that handling felt similar(ish).

Only a few laps, dunno if it helps, this is what I got to (attached). This car seems very sensitive to steering input, like just enough lock, any more or less ruins the lap, or not, I think

Well. early days yet, you may be onto something, it is so easy to have a good lap and think it is your magic setup tweak.
I did notice that the MoTeC trace was better damped, it certainly smooths out suspension movement irregularities, plus the car seems quicker.
I am not the best person to test this, Rasmus, jack and myself did a lot of work on the GTR it was quite apparent early on that I was quite numb when it came to feeling the car, so I took a back seat and just tried each setup tweak.

try this , i found your car too sensitive with the steering, the car was not stable on entry, it was no quicker, but the laps strung together more reliably.
But that was me driving, may be to "fixed" at the rear for you.

Nice one lads. Robert gave a setup to BOP these. After Oran Park it was. From what I remember he hadn't done much with it, basically stock, but the few tiny tweaks can make a difference. Sometimes it's about the least amount of clicks!
