i used to love DTM and watch it all the time... im now that far behind the times i didnt even know BMW we're in it.

Never watched DTM but now that BMW are back and the regulations modified i plan on watching the whole season.

BMW has a seriously strong driver line up

All seats are now taken for BMW’s return to the DTM: Dirk Werner has been confirmed as the sixth BMW Motorsport driver…

The 30-year-old is switching from GT racing to the DTM project. Last season, Werner successfully raced in the colours of BMW Team RLL in the American Le Mans Series, finishing third in the GT Drivers’ Championship.

^^^ I am inclined to agree - they are more GT / Touring Car hybrid these days.

They can't as different teams run the same car. Its not a BMW Motorsport entry like in the FIA WEC or ALMS.

Yes i know but Schnitzer are pretty much border line works team.

I believe they ran M-colours in DTM back in the day. And the BMW Team Schnitzer M3 GT2 for ILMC 2010 was M-colored.
It drove for example Zuhai 1000km.

Given the MB Vs Audi bumper to bumper racing of the last 2 years ..... having a very competitive BMW in the mix in 2012 surely will make for some of the best DTM action ever. The cars look fantastic and the series really brings out the driver Vs Driver differences. There is so much less dependancy on the car itself and so much more of who is behind the wheel.

Should be a great season.

Can't wait for the rF2 version of the DTM mod

Yea i think they can run in Le Mans 24H with some modifications. remember hearing something about that.
