The only rational or logical reason for this, would be you are using a cracked exe.

Well other than when you installed the patch the updated exe did not get installed for some reason. Ensure GSC is not running whilst installing and try installing from one of the zipped archives rather than the installer.

Hi I hope you can help me.

GSC runs absolutely fine in version 1.60. But since I installed 1.70 the game crashes everytime when I am in the garage and want to jump in the car. I get no error message an come straight back to my desktop.

I do not use a cracked version. And the game and the patch are downloaded from the reiza website.

So that is my trace file.
I played GSC with 1.60 without a problem. I have already sent the trace file to REIZA, but I do not have a reponse yet.


Neither choosing another car nor another track changes anything. The game crashes. I have tried twice to install completely new and each time I testet version 1.60 which worked fine.

Hi Daniel.

I had this problem in race sessions, but it worked fine in Testing sessions!!!

I went to task manager and turned off Fraps, D3Doveraider and also Deamon Tools.

Then it works fine:good:. Not sure which was causing the problem though!!
 
Many issues this night with the F3, for me and my teamates. Happens when we watch the replays. Very disappointing. If we only drive the car without watching replays, it is ok...

I tested online and offline, same thing : the game crashes when watching replays or other guys running...
I think it is the mod. If someone had the same problem...

Try deleting the dinput8.dll from GSC root folder, see if that works you getting it to run.

There is an issue with the F3, seemingly related to the different steering wheel / panel configurations that can cause the Game to crash. We´re looking into it.
 
Today I exported my first replay to AVI, but it doesn't contain any sound. How can I fix this or is it a known bug?

Is 800x600 the maximum resolution for replays?

You can edit your PRL file (in USERDATA) to change size and codex
its at the end of the file

[ Miscellaneous ]

AVI compressor fourcc="FFDS" // Changes compression algorithm

Default codex is EXTREMELY slow you can change it to whatever codex you prefer. I use FFDS - H.264 work good for me

For sound I suggest you remove all files in your Music folder in GSC for some reason it interfere when you export replays.
If you still have problems with sound, one other "work around" i found on different forums is to start your export, stop it (X key i think is default) and restart your export again.


and yeah one other solution is
Dont use the ingame stuff.
Just use Fraps.

.... Really don't understand why Afterburner doesn't work with this game as it's better than Fraps and it's free! :p
The d3d9 file in GSC folder seem to conflict with Afterburner overlay. If you move your d3d9 file when you want to capture replays it should work. But careful not to loose your d3d9 and make sure you replace it in your folder after (i think its use for the map overlay).

EDIT:
You can also rename your d3d9 file when you want to capture replays and change it back when done

I also tried the above method (1280x720), but since than I am not do do any exports. So used FRAPS to capture. Now I will try to use the d3d9 file and try to get Afterburner working.
Will report in some time the results.

@Scott: I am using the Sli-Pro and non of my light/display work. Sad really, great piece of hardware not working with this great game...
 
question about the FFB


why is it that any of the cars v8, f3, f1 etc in .hdv under CONTROLS have

SteeringFFBMult="2.5"

i thought the whole purpose of the realfeel was to run gsc with no canned effects from the game itself


and there is no option in car selection window to select upgrades to the cars so if i edit the hdv SteeringFFBMult="0" it will cause mismatch with others

also if I select the controller.ini for G27 i get steering force by default set to medium? is that the way the game is spoused to be run....

in every other realfeel mod techade readme always requires low ffb effects when using realfeel

I could be wrong but i think the only difference between low and medium is the effect you get when riding curbs.... Better with medium for realism i think.
