Great ride Haga. Very controlled out in front for most of the race.

Looked as if Ben Spies had the measure of Fabrizio but it looked like the rear tyre went away with a couple of laps to run.

Race two coming up soon. Been a great night with both the Superbikes and MotoGP live on the same night.

Race two sees another 1-2 for Ducati and another double win for a Ducati mounted rider. Congrats to Haga, Fabrizio and the Ducati team.

Sad to see another DNF for Spies. A long way to go in the championship but I don't think he needs any more DNF's for the rest of this season.

Ben Spies does it again (like anyone thought it would be different!) and claims the number one grid spot. Ben is now the record holder of the most successive pole positions in a row..if only that could be translated into race wins on a consistent basis.

I will be really crazy and predict Ben Spies will do the double, and Cal Crutchlow will win.

Haga had a massive highside on Saturday through turn 11. Thankfully he sustained bruising but no breaks.

Bram - Biaggi had issues with the Aprilia chassis being too stiff and thus both riders had massive issues with chatter.

The races themselves were very processional, which is very unusual for WSBK. In case no one knows, Spies did the double with daylight second & tumble weed third. Haga lost a massive chunk of his championship lead, with a very bruised body from a Saturday tumble, the points difference is now 53.

My boredom was probably not helped by the 3.30am start time in Oz, the horrible camera work and very ordinary commentary, despite Ben Bostrom being in the booth.

Was another cracking WSS race.....:dance2: But as you say TJP im surprised Sofugolu got away with that one...

Also saw race 2 of the WSB's: Spies was really ruling the pack on homesoil. Fabrizio stayed close (within 2 secs) of Spies until 5 laps before the end, but then Spies rapidly secured the victory. Impressive!

Very nice 3 races!


Spies dominated as expected he is a complete master round Millar, so one was anywhere near him! Great to see the Kawa's up near the front

Kenan was a lucky boy not to get a penaly for barging his way through.

WSBK 2009 round 8 : Misano Adriatico

The WSBK is to drive on Misano on the 21th of June

Track History :

The Misano motor racing circuit was designed in 1969 (3,488 m) and has always been under private management. Sports activities began after three years. At the sides of the track, small open pits and a building used exclusively to house racetrack offices.

The beginning of the 1990s saw the launching of a renovation project which over successive phases guaranteed the availability of an increasingly efficient facility.

The first expansion project dates to 1993: the track was lengthened to 4,060 metres, making it possible to use two track configurations, a long and a short one; a building was also erected with new garages, technical rooms, reception rooms and a large pressroom of around 600 sq. m.

In 1996 and 1997, a second stage of work was carried out to complete the building and the pits. In 1998 the paddock area was extended to a total of 40,000 sq. m.

Another cracking round of SBK. Race 1 started wet, but about half race a dry line started to appear, and for the first time in SBK the riders came in to change bikes and go back out on slicks which made it very entertaining....
Was nice to see shane byrne finally at the front....
Race 2 was just unreal with a three way fight at the front between Haga, Rae and Fabrizio with Rae crossing the line just infront of Fabrizio to take is first win in SBK.......:clap:
